Stella's POV I returned to the orphanage in the SUV that Callum ordered one of her drivers to return me in and Celine was really happy to see me. The last time we reached out to each other was via text when I explained to her exactly why I would be sleeping over for that night. "Stella dear!" She blurted out in excitement as she bubbled in euphoria. Of course, she already knew I was going to be returning that day, she was just excited, especially now that I had returned to work with her at the club royale and also at my new place of work. "Hey Celine!" I responded with a warm hug that she also engulfed me in. "Thank you," I mouthed at the driver, who bowed before he got into the SUV and finally drove off. "Wow, this madam must actually be sweet and kind indeed to allow one of her drivers to return you back here," Celine mused as we both returned together to the orphanage. "Of course," I replied as we greeted, of course, orphans that were friendly towards us. We finally got to the room, which meant both of us and Celine could observe the mixed feelings that were really blatant. "You wouldn't really be coming back, would you?" She asked as we both sat on our beds respectively, and she moved to sit beside me on mine. "It appears so," I blubbered as my brows creased. "That's really sad. I'm actually going to miss you," Celine said as she hugged me. "But how long do you have to stay here before you have to move over there finally?" Celine asked as a pang of inquisitiveness washed over her. "Just a week," I replied. "It's alright then," She replied as we ate our lunch together. I really had no background story, as I had absolutely no idea about who my parents were, and unfortunately, the orphanage doesn't like the guardian, Timothy Smith, who brought me and was late, who was said to have picked me up from the streets. So far so good, I have made friends with his children who were like my mate's age and treated them as sisters. Vanessa and Marcus Smith would always be considered as my siblings, even though we weren't related by blood and if I wasn't going to look for a job, it was to visit them at their place where they were staying with their mother, Isabel. "You could visit the Smiths, your siblings and your foster mother," Celine said, and saw how my countenance changed when I mentioned Isabel. Isabel and I were always not at peace with each other, and she always loathed me, probably because I wasn't her own biological daughter. She was actually the main reason why I had to spend my life from my teenage aspect at the orphanage to where I had grown up to be, because even though Timothy was willing to take care of me throughout, she insisted that they had tried enough, and I should be dropped at the orphanage home. It was at the orphanage that I got to meet Celine, and we made friends easily. It was really tough on me, especially since I didn't know what happened to my parents and who they were, but it was clearly obvious they were dead and if they weren't, they didn't want me. Oops! "Sorry, I always forget that you haven't made peace with the woman Isabel," Celine said with a compunctious look on her face. "It's alright, at least I'm at peace with Vanessa and Marcus, especially when they visit me at the orphanage, or I visit them at their place. That's all I need," I said. "Besides, it should be great that they should know about this new phase of your life," Celine said. "Exactly," I replied. "Besides, tell me more. I mean you were telling me that you actually saw the alpha, the person you said was always in your dreams, and that's his family mansion and his grandma is your employer," Celine questioned, as her lips twitched upwards in curiosity. "Yes indeed. You need to see the way he treated me with hostility even though his grannie was sweet to me. Thank goodness he rejected me as his mate, because that's all I needed," I replied as a tug of relief etched in my heart. "Hmmm… Are you really sure you don't have any feelings for him any anymore? I mean by the way you have talked about the dreams you had concerning him at the end of the day," Celine teased? "Come on Celine, you are really sounding facetious right now, and I can't deal with that," I blurted out. "Alright. My bad. I'm just saying, who knows the possibility? This is how most true love stories always begin with the two characters at enmity with each other at first till they begin to respect and love each other," Celine mused. "Well, I don't even care to believe if such emotions exist, but one thing is for sure, about the fact that I'm definitely not going to end up with that jerk and bone-headed bully!" I blurted out with my Glaston vibes, cold and shrill. "Wow, you really loathe him that much. I guess he is really a jerk after all," Celine replied. "And then you spoke about him as a wolf, an Alpha," Celine said. "Yes, keep your voice down. You really have to keep the secret because they exist in the Shadows, and it appeared that I was supposed to be his mate, hence why he rejected me. Do you remember how he was able to handle those men at the bar? Exactly," I explained. "Wow. Of course, I would keep the secret. Besides, I have heard alot about them, and I'm not entirely surprised that they exist," Celine replied. "Yeah they do. You know what, I think while we wait for one week till I stay here, so it doesn't mean I wouldn't accompany you," I said, with my forehead creased. "That's a brilliant decision," Celine bubbled with excitement, tickling her stomach as she ran her fingers through her cinnamon curls. ********************************************************** We both waggled towards the club royale as we alighted from the cab until we met one of the men that Oliver had dealt with. He has his face plastered from the injury he got and this time he came with another set of guys. We were all just in the backyard of the building, so the people inside had little idea about what was happening outside. "Hmmm. Interesting. I guess I have to finish what I have started, especially since your hero isn't here to save you," He snickered with a sinister stare as he began to advance towards us with his men.
