Hours passed. Daryl sat at his desk, flipping through the reports for the tenth time. His eyes were sharp, scanning every detail, every word, but nothing stood out. No leads. No new angles. Just dead ends. Kyle, sitting across from him, exhaled loudly and leaned back in his chair. “Man, I hate cases like this,” he muttered. “It’s like chasing a damn ghost.” Daryl didn’t respond immediately.
