Daryl barely had time to process the security footage before his phone buzzed. Unknown number. He hesitated before answering. “Daryl here.” A deep sigh came from the other end. Then, a familiar voice. Martin Anderson. “Detective,” Martin said, his tone heavy. “We need to talk. Now.” Daryl straightened. The last time Martin had given him information, it had led to a dead informant. “Talk.” “Not over the phone.” Daryl clenched his jaw. “I don’t have time for now, Mr. Anderson.” “This is important.
