Finding you

After getting back to the pack, the large rouge became pretty useful. There is another base in the other side of the rouge territory that they took Lela to just hours before we got there. We start to make plans to get ready to head that way when more news comes in. There were cameras there at the rouge base to monitor the coming and going of people. Looks like Lela was definitely there and taken but what comes to a surprise is that Melody was seen with the people transporting her. Should have killed the stupid b***h instead of casting her out. If only I’d have done that, maybe my little mate would still be here with me.

I close my eyes to focus and try to connect with her wolf, I still can’t communicate with her since we have yet to finish completing the bond, but I can feel her. She is alive, but sick, so very sick, and she is afraid. Not only is she afraid, she seems irritated too, with pain mixed in. Most likely caused from the stupid i***t that keeps injecting her with wolfsbaine. I contemplate what I’ll do when I find her, obviously I’m gonna need to secure a doctor who has anti wolfsbaine medication to help her body start to heal itself. I’ll also need provisions like food cause I doubt those f*****g mutts have been actually taking care of her at all.

While thinking about those things, there is a knock at the door, Mark comes in. “We are all ready to move out Alpha, the children are now starting to catch on that the Luna isn’t here, and want to know when she will be back to see them”. I smile a very small smile thinking of the times Lela would go to the school to see the children, whether it was to teach them, assist with making the lunches, or just playing with the children.

*****flashback to the near past******

I woke up to Lela already getting ready for the day. “What are you doing little mate? Come back to bed, I’m not ready to let you go yet”, Lela blushes which is very unusual for her, even though she has never been with a man, she isn’t generally shy about things like this. “I am going to the school today to help, I find that this is one of my favorite Luna activities. I absolutely love children, back in my home pack, I would help my mother during the busy times by taking care of the children while she dealt with people who needed assistance with food or even those who just lost a love one”. She turns back around the finish putting on her tee shirt. She has a genuine smile on her face as she thinks about getting to see the children and help. She finishes getting dressed and comes back to the bed to give me a kiss goodbye, I try to capture her so I can spend more time with her before she goes but she avoids capture while giggling.

I miss the way she would smile and even giggle at the smallest things, or how she would tell me about her day, whether it was talking about the children or even if she helps teach the young adult women how to fight. All of it would light up my day, watching how excited she would get about something, or just how happy she made the pack with her assistance and help. Especially those in the hospital she would assist. The latest case was when she helped a new mother deliver her baby girl, Lela looked so wonderful holding that baby while the doctors helped clean up the mother while Lela took care of the baby. She looked so content to be with that baby, she smiled so brightly at that baby, the mother even honored Lela by naming the baby after her.

Coming back out of my memories, I get together the items I need and let Mark know that we will need a doctor to come with us just in case. I wait in agony for everyone to get around. Just thinking of what could be happening to my poor mate.

*****Lela’s point of view****

The car ride is silent, I decide to bid my time and wait since I’m too weak to actually escape from Legion. Melody would also have a hay day if she was aloud to try and recapture me. We are heading to Legions pack, it’s only a two hour drive, but it was one of the longest two hour drives of my life. Upon arrival, Legion passes me over to another unknown male. “My name is Nathan, I’ll be your guard for the time being, that is until you get to become the Alpha’s mistress, once that happens, I doubt you will leave” says this Nathan. I start at him like he has a boob on this forehead. What the literal hell is wrong with these people? Are they all on some sort of new drug? These people are all freaking insane.

Nathan grab a my arm and leads me to a new room that’s going to be the “mistresses wing” according to the slaves there. Who the hell has slaves anymore? This is modern times, all people deserve to be free, and paid for any work that they do. I shake my head and the situation of this pack. Apparently from what I have seen, any low ranking wolf is a slave here, s*x slaves, working slaves, dancing slaves. It doesn’t matter what it is, there is probably a slave for that. I sit quietly in the room waiting when Melody comes through the door. Nathan is standing in the corner observing as it seems he has been ordered to do.

“Legion is making you his mistress but know that I run this pack, I am his mate, and you will be a good little girl unless you want to be in for a world of trouble”. She stares me down as she says this. “You must not be his fates mate if he is having a mistress. He must think that you won’t be able to completely satisfy him from what can gather. He also must need a Luna who isn’t me so that way he doesn’t get as much political backlash since everyone knows I’m Alexander’s mate. Probably would make it easier to hide me” I reply. Melody’s face goes red with anger, she makes her way towards me. Nathan steps between us and shakes his head no, Melody looks like she is vibrating she is so angry. This gives me a small amount of pleasure to see that I am still a pain in the ass. “Just listen here b***h, ready yourself, tomorrow the witch will be here to remove your mark and then you will be mounted by Legion whether you like it or not”, with that Melody storms out and leaves me to sit down on my bed. Well f**k.
