The Alpha’s Healer Mate

The challenge

“Now that a challenge has been issued can all members of the pack please make their way to the training arena as the challenger and Lela get ready for the challenge” commands Alex. I decide that I can’t let the nerves get to me, so I grab my workout gear bag and head straight to the closest bathroom to change. I change quickly and head back to the conference room to meet up with my mate.

“Be careful, you will be stronger than her, but she is really fast, insanely fast. Watch your back cause she likes to try and attack from behind” states Roxanne. I appreciate her letting me know what my opponents strength is. I turn to Alex and give a small nervous smile. Alex looks at me and without looking commands, “everyone else who was able to stay leave so I can have a moment with my mate alone”. Everyone continues to walk out and head to the training field. I stay in my spot and let him lead as a sign of respect to his wolf. Alex comes right up to me and stops when his nose touches my own, although he did have to bend down to have his nose touch mine. He rubs his nose against mine while taking a deep breath to scent me, this is one of the most intimate and intense moments of my life. I still remain still, this not only shows great respect to him as an Alpha, but also the respect as my mate. He then leans down to my neck and places a brief kiss on my marking spot, this sends a shock through my body and I can’t help but moan as the wetness gathers between my legs. My mate growls as he can smell my arousal. He backs me against the wall and smashes his lips against my own. This moment is so intense and sparks are everywhere he touches me. He demands entrance into my mouth and in he goes as soon as I open my mouth. His tongue dances with my own. Too soon there is a knock at the door, Alex growls and backs away from me without breaking eye contact. “WHAT?” Yells Alex, his wolf is pissed off at the disruption. “Alpha it’s Sean, the challenger is at the training field and waiting”,”well piss off, we will get there when we are done”, “Yes Alpha”. Then we can hear footsteps walking away.

I shake my head and look back to Alex, “there was no need to be so mean. He is only doing his job”, I cross my arms and defend who my wolf sees to be one of hers. “I know I’m sorry, my wolf is on edge with the challenge. I can’t help you at all and you can get hurt from this challenge. It is really upsetting my wolf” states Alex. I smile and nod in understanding, “ I know I just need to make you aware of what you are doing, I’m an alpha, I’ll be okay” I reply. “Let go before people start spreading rumors about what we were doing back here” says Alex. I nod in agreement and follows Alex to the training field. Once we get to the training field, I stay in the middle of the field with Melody while Alex goes up to the platform where all the high ranking wolves are at. Alex then with a loud voice asks, “Melody do you still stand by your challenge to the mate the Goddess has gifted to me?”, Melody replied back with, “Yes Alpha, I do stand by my challenge”, “Very well, this is a hand to hand combat, partial transformation is allowed, no full shifting into wolves or I will intervene”. We both expose our necks to Alex as submission to his order.

Next we meet together and shake hands with each other, Melody grabs my hand and seems to try and squeeze with all her might, I ignore the tactic and stay calm. We then back away from each other via 5 paces as dictated by werewolf laws made by the first Alphas. “Are both challenger ready for battle?”, “Yes Alpha” we both respond at the same time. Then with a flagging hand motion, the fight is on. I wait for my challenger to make the first move, best to read her motions, anticipate, counter, then strike. Melody charges straight at me after I didn’t move at first, she went for a kick to my side, I caught her leg and rammed my elbow down on her knee, with a crack her knee cap broke. The crowd erupted in cheers, I then dropped her leg and partially shifted my hand putting my hand in her side, I drew first blood. This too sent the crowed into a frenzy, this noise drowned out Melody’s scream. I backed away after ripping a chunk of her side out and tossing is aside. Melody has pure rage in her eyes, dominance coming off of her, I’d put her as a mid ranked wolf. She shifts her hands into claws like I did and says, “I’m going to kill you b***h”, I just laugh in response. This angers her even more, the anger overriding her fear and pain, she charges again. You would think she would have learned the first time, she swipes for my face trying to claw my eyes out, I step back and dodge, at the same time I sweep her legs out from under her and she lands with a hard thud. Before she can even blink I am on top of her throwing punch after punch at her face. My knuckles are raw and bleeding but I don’t care, how dare she try to take away from me what is mine! I then catch a shift on her scent, she smells more like wolf, she is going to shift! s**t, I jump off of her just in time and a wolf explodes from her human form, the next thing I know I have a fully formed wolf coming at me. I brace my legs and crouch a little, the minute she lunges, I drop down and roll under her. Then I turn right around and kick her one hind leg breaking it. Her shift healed all her wounds but not now, now her leg is broken again. Then there is a long and thundering roar, a very pissed off Alpha male is making his way to the shifted wolf. He kneels in front of her, his dominance oozing out of every pore, causing her to submit to her Alpha. “As the rules stated no shifting into your wolf form, you broke the rules, as punishment you are to be exiled from the pack, to live out the rest of your days as a Rogue”. With that order Alex nods Mark to take over, “Shift” orders Mark, Melody shifts into her naked human form. With that she is dragged away from the training arena to be exiled. “With that, the winner of this challenge is Lela, your Luna” after Alex states this all around you hear and echoing of “Yes Alpha” from the pack. I won my right as Luna, and I leave the Arena with my mate and a smile on my face.
