I’m so lost looking up at Varek and his earnest face, I don’t notice a girl walk into the room. I’m startled beyond belief when she announces her presence with a small clearing of her throat. “Oh, this must be the servant assigned to help you navigate the castle and learn the etiquette at court!” Varek’s voice pitched up a bit, and his facial expression has tightened.
