Aurora's POV
I frowned, my eyes narrowing. " What do you mean?" I asked Stella. Of course I had a little idea of what she meant, but I just wanted her to speak plainly.
She stood up from the bed, taking slow steps to the mirror. "People like Derek won't mind killing you just to...."
"Prove me worthless?" I completed. "Prove that I'm no good and I don't deserve to live?"
She continued to stare at the mirror, unhooking a necklace from her neck and placing it on the table.
"He won't mind trying to show to people how weak and worthless he thinks you are," she said, slowly turning to face me. "But that's not it."
I felt a part of me wanting to know how far Derek and his likes would go to fight against me if I'm found to be in the competition.
