Marco proved to be a very skilled tutor as I felt changes and heightened senses. I was heading to the principal's office after a training session with him when I spotted Derek leaning on the wall in a hallway. Some male students were around him as I approached.
"Here she comes, the wonder girl," Derek taunted as I got closer to them.
I gave him no reply, not even a look upwards.
"Guess what's new," Derek shamelessly continued. "She's going to be part of the Gauntlet. Ain't that wonderful?"
He said this, followed by a scoffing sound and the others around him laughed out loud.
I was used to this and as usual I bent my head low and continued past them.
"Hey!!" he barked, visibly annoyed as I walked past. I shut my eyes for a while wishing that somehow a professor would pass
