I was in a hotel room, lying helplessly as my eyes slowly opened. Sitting right next to me was Asher, his arms crossed and a scowl on his face.
“What..what happened?” That was the first thing I asked as I looked beneath the sheets to make sure that we didn’t do anything in my unconscious state.
“You didn’t think I saved you from those two rapists just to do the same thing, did you?” He returned the question with a flat tone as I adjusted into a seated position.
“You fainted,” he added curtly. “You just couldn’t handle a little bit of work without collapsing. It was shopping, every girl’s favorite hobby.”
His expression slowly turned accusatory. “Except you’ve gotten pregnant for one of my brothers already.”
