Days, weeks had passed and still she had not received any calls from her father. Nothing new, actually.
Still, it hurts her. Her father really didn't care whether she existed or not.
Good thing, she got a call from her brother Marcus. He asked if she was OK and if she was eating well. He also asked if she was happy with Kai. She was teary-eyed while talking to her brother. Marcus had always taken care of her. He was her protector ever since they were little. He and her sisters never blamed her for their mother's death. Only Father.
Her train of thoughts was halted as she suddenly felt like vomiting. From the living room, she ran straight to the kitchen and went to the sink to vomit.
She didn't feel well. As she was about to go to her smooth, suddenly the kitchen seemed to be moving. The head maid, Nan, was running towards her. Then, everything went black.
****************************************************************************************************************
She's two weeks pregnant.
It was like a bomb that exploded in his head.
He called his family's doctor, Dr. Choon, to check on Emily. He was at his office and was about to leave when Nan called him.
"She has to take these vitamins. If she still vomits and feels nauseous, let her take the other meds here," Dr. Choon said while writing prescriptions.
"Thank you, Doctor."
When everyone left, he approached Emily who was still asleep. She looked pale. She suddenly looked so fragile in his eyes.
This was not part of his plan.
He didn't plan to make her pregnant with his child. No, he didn't plan to have connections with her after this.
It was his fault. He didn't control himself. Whenever she was around, he always wanted her near him. He always wanted to possess her mind, body and soul.
Now, it backfired at him.
What should he do? Should he stop?
No, he thought. I've gone a long way to stop now.
He saw Emily opened her eyes. He leaned forward and planted a kiss on her forehead.
"Kai? You're here? What happened?" she asked, confused.
"You fainted while you were at the kitchen. Nan said that you also vomited thrice. I was worried." Kai was strangely staring at her.
"Is there anything wrong with me?" she worriedly asked.
"You're pregnant."
She was shocked when she heard Kai. She couldn't believe it! It's almost been a month and now she's carrying Kai's child!
'Really?!!! Oh, I'm so happy, Kai!" she said while trying to sit. Kai assisted her.
"Are you happy?" Kai asked while staring directly at her.
"Yes, I am! We're gonna have a baby! Aren't you happy?"
"I am. I am happy. I'll have a baby and you are its mother."
Emily smiled. Her heart wanted to burst with so much happiness. God had given them a gift from their love. A son or maybe a daughter. She wanted to have a son who looked like Kai. Her handsome man.
"Love, can you do me a favor?"
She stopped imagining their future together when she heard Kai's serious tone.
"Anything. What is it?"
"Is if OK if you do not tell this good news to anyone? I want it to be ours to cherish, as of now."
Oh, he was really happy that she was carrying his child.
"Yes. I won't tell anyone."

He seemed different.
Emily thought as she looked at the back of Kai. He was busy talking to someone over the phone. They were at his study room.
She was reading a pregnancy book but she could not focus because something was bothering her.
Kai seemed distant. She would always catch him looking at her tummy. She should be happy but she felt... uncertain.
Since they had known that she was pregnant, she was somehow expecting that he would be more caring and loving. Yes, she could feel his concern but there was something about him that she could not determine.
Also, for the past days, she had been itching to ask him about his plans for their baby, and for them. She was hoping that he'd ask her to marry him, but he still hadn't.
God knew how much she wanted to marry Kai. He was the love of her life, and the father to her unborn child.
When Kai was already done talking on the other line, she bravely approached him.
"Love," she nervously called him.
"Hmmm.." he replied without even looking at her.
"Can we talk?" she sat on the chair in front of his table.
Kai looked at her and leaned his back on his chair, "What about?"
She felt uneasy. Kai seemed so cold. She was not used to this.
"Love, is there a problem?" She asked.
"What problem? There's no problem. Why?" He just kept staring at her.
"Love, what are your plans? I mean, we're having a baby. You and I." she almost stuttered.
Kai didn't answer her and instead he just kept staring at her. She didn't know but there was a growing fear in her heart.
"Em, do you want to visit your family?" he suddenly asked.
She didn't expect to hear that from him. He was aware that her father had disown her already.
"Uhh... Yes, I do. But you know that I can't. Father hasn't forgiven me."
Kai stood and motioned her to stand.
"Let's have dinner at Arabelle's, love."
**************************************************************************************************************
Kai was silent all throught the time he was driving. He didn't ask his driver to go along with them. She was afraid to ask what was bothering him since she already asked awhile ago. She just focused herself in looking at the sceneries that they were passing at. A few minutes later, she noticed that they were going the opposite direction from Arabelle's.
"Love, aren't we headed to Arabelle's?" she paid her attention to Kai.
He just glanced at her.
"Love?"
"I'll just drop something off somewhere before we go to Arabelle's."
"Alright." She leaned back. She put her hands on her tummy and closed her eyes. She suddenly felt tired. It was traffic and so she decided to take a nap.
Someone was calling her.
"Emily. Emily, wake up."
She opened her eyes and saw Kai. He was on her side and the car door was open.
But the place looked different. Did Arabelle's undergo renovation?
"We're here. Come on out." Kai guided her as she went out of the car.
She froze. It was not Arabelle's! It's her family's mansion!
She stepped back. "Kai, why are we here?" She looked at him with her troubled eyes.
Kai didn't answer. Then, she heard footsteps and when she turned, it was her father.
"Why is she here? I allowed you to enter my property because of Elise Enterprise," Her father said without even glancing at her.
Elise Enterprise? It's her mother's company.
She turned to Kai who was now looking at her.
"Elise Enterprise? What about my mother's company?" she asked Kai. She was very confused.
Her father laughed. "So, your woman doesn't know what you have done?"
She glanced at her father and looked again at Kai.
"What? What happened? What do I not know, Kai?" she said with her pleading eyes.
Kai turned his eyes away from her and looked straight into her father.
"I bought Elise Enterprise, Emily. Your father, or should I say, your family doesn't own it anymore. And no, William. I am not gonna make bargains with you. I am here to return what's yours and I'm not referring to Elise Enterprise."
Emily felt scared of Kai. He sounded so cold. He looked emotionless.
"I am returning your daughter to you."
Emily couldn't believe what Kai had said.
"What the hell are you talking about?!" her father's voice sounded like a thunder.
"Wh-aat?! Love, what are you saying?" she touched his arm but he moved away from her. Tears started streaming down her cheeks.
"I have grown tired of her. By the way, she's 3 weeks pregnant."
"Why are you doing this, Kai? Please say that this is just a nasty joke, please! Please!"
Her body was shaking and she kept on crying. She was trying to reach for him but he was pushing her away.
Finally, Kai looked at her, with his face void of emotion.
"I don't want you in my life. I am returning you to your father. Whatever had happened to us, everything was just part of my plan."
"Wh- what plan? What are you talking about?! I thought you loved me!" she was crying hysterically.
"I've never said that I love you. You assumed." Kai moved away from her and was headed to his car when she hugged him on his back.
"Kai, please. Don't do this to me. I love you! I love you!" she knew she looked pitiful, but she didn't care. All she cared was for Kai to love her.
Kai strongly released her arms and turned to her.
"I don't love you. I have never said that I love you. You were just part of my plan. Nothing more, nothing less."
Emily stepped back. All she could see was the hatred in his eyes. Kai then walked towards his car.
Emily couldn't move. She could only stare at the open window of his car. He was not looking at her. When he started the car, that's when she realized that he was going to leave her.
She moved towards his car, "Kai -Love, please! Please don't leave me here, I beg you! What about our baby?! Kai, please! We need you! I promise I'll make you love me! I'm sorry if I'm not good enough! I'm sorry! Please don't leave me here! I'm scared! I'm scared!"
The car windows were automatically closed, and it started moving.
"No, no, no. Kai! No! Please! Come back!" she was banging on the car window and screaming his name. It moved faster but she kept running.
Running and running...
Until he reached the gates and left. Leaving her and her baby.
Kai!!!!!
