One week had passed that she was doing the same things for Kai.
In the morning, she would prepare his clothes and their breakfast. When he was gone for work, she would busy herself calling her assistant and the managers of the different units of her company. She would also call her brother Marcus, who was furious when he learned about her deal with Kai. She also called her sisters and Albert.
In the evening, they would eat dinner together, without talking much to each other.
She noticed that Kai was always on time for dinner and he never complained about the food she prepared. As a matter of fact, he had never complained about anything at all.
She was also startled when she heard him play the piano after eating dinner. He had never played before. In the past, he would just ask her to play for him.
At night, he would always do what he did during the first night. He would wrap his arms on her and sleep soundly.
She didn't fight him anymore. In her mind, it was enough that he was not making any move on her.
The only difference was that he did not anymore enter the bathroom while she was using it. Thank God for privacy!

On a Sunday evening, he told her to accompany him to his office the next day.
She agreed right away because she also wanted to leave the mansion. She had been there for a week and so all she wanted to do was to get fresh air from the outside. She might even go to the mall and buy things for herself.
When they entered the KST Building, all eyes were on them. Why not?
Kai took her hand and held it as they walked. Anyone who saw them would think that they were a couple!
She could see the look of envy on the faces of his female employees, and she could also see the look of admiration the male employees were giving her.
She was sure that these people thought that something romantic was going on between her and Kai.
If they only knew…
When they arrived at his office, he busied himself meeting with his staff. While she, on the other hand, busied herself in reading and checking the reports sent by her assistant in her email.
'Let's have lunch now, Emily.' Kai approached her while she was busy sending her instructions to her assistant.
'I'll just stay here. You may go' She ignored him and continued with what she was doing.
'Hey! What are you doing?!' she shrieked when he suddenly took away her laptop and turned it off.
'Focus your attention on me now, Emily. After you." He put her laptop on his executive table and motioned her to leave before him.
She was sourly irritated by his actions but she couldn't do anything but to follow him.
Twenty-two more days to go!
She thought they would go out and eat somewhere else but she was wrong. He led her to the company's restaurant located at the first floor of the building.
Since it was lunch time, many of his employees were there, eating their lunch. When they saw them, they greeted them happily.
'Good noon, Sir Kai and Ma'am!,' they said in unison.
Kai greeted them, too. This was the first time she had seen him interact with his employees. He seemed to have a good relationship with them. Well, they even called him "Sir Kai."
'By the way, this is Ms. Emily.' She smiled at them when Kai introduced her to them.
"Hello, Ma'am Emily,' they said.
"Hello, everyone. Nice to meet all of you!' She was genuinely smiling at them. She always had a soft spot for employees.
'Ma'am! You are so beautiful! We're happy to see that Sir Kai's girlfriend looks like a goddess!' a gay employee cheerfully said.
She actually blushed. 'Thank you, dear. But I'm no---' She didn't finish what she had to say for Kai suddenly wrapped her shoulder with his right arm and said,
'You are all invited on our wedding. Right, honey?' He was looking intently at her and he was also pressing his fingers hard on her shoulder.
'Yes, of course.' Damn you. She was giving him a fake smile as she answered.
The employees started cheering on them and others were even clapping. Looking at their happy faces made her smile genuinely.
When she took a glance at Kai, she saw him looking at her with a look of anger in his eyes.
'What's the matter with him?' She thought.

She confronted him when they were back in his office.
'Why did you tell them that? We both know why I'm here.'
Kai sat on his chair and crossed his arms on his chest.
'What's the big deal? They are used to seeing me with women. After you, I'll introduce another woman to them, Emily.'
She was speechless for a second. How could she ever forget that he was a womanizer?
'Ah yeah. And they would think that I am dumped by you. Great. Just great.' She said sarcastically.
'Does it matter? After 30 days, both you and I will be done with each other. That's the longest time I've been with a woman.'
She looked at him with disgust. 'Should I be proud?'
Kai gave her his handsome smile. 'Any woman would want to be in your place right now, Ms. Emily.'
She looked at him defiantly. 'Then why don't you just take any woman you want? I'm sure she'll be ecstatic to be with you, Kai Stevens.'
Kai leaned on his table and gave her that look that made her feel uncomfortable. 'I've told you already. As of now, I don't want any woman. I want you.'
