"I know quite a lot Miss maybe you can say walls have ears and eyes in this floor becarefull" he gave her a knowing look and smile.

Amelia's eyes widen "You know that too?" She asked but again remembered that Lucas was Mr Walker's assistant so yeah he knows too. She facepalm herself inward. "Off course you do"

Lucas chuckled this woman is surely something else "Don't worry Miss your secret is safe in these floor. We hope to work with you untill God knows when. See you around assistant Smith" he smiled for the nth time and went out of the elevator leaving her inside.

She got back to her desk and resume working. All that Mr Gray had said to her was totally out of her mind and filled with great news.

All she wanted to do was go home and tell her children this wonderful news. Promotion means higher salary too. Excitement filled her heart that she lost track of time and end up knocking out later than she wanted to.

She glance at her wristwatch to check time and took her bag heading out of the building.

Luke lean on the car smoking cigarette waiting for Amelia. He has been there since five p.m but there was no sign of Amelia coming out until now. He catch a glimpse of her crossing the street. He knew she was heading to bus stop.

He throw the cigarette and stab on it before walking to her. "Miss Smith... Sorry good evening. Miss the car is parked this side please this way"

"Ohh Mr Luke you here again to take me home, why?" She could only ask walking with him to the car.

"I'm sorry Miss I keep forgetting the most important parts. I will be your driver from now on. You only need to tell me where you want to go then I'll bring you to your destination but Miss please call me Luke. It sounds awkward when you say Mr. It sounds like I'm an old man" he complained driving towards Amelia's house.

Amelia hummed in response. Luke is the opposite of Lucas, he is free and lively on the other hand Lucas speak his mind and he is serious.

No one said anything and ride in silence until the car came to halt. Luke told her that they had arrived and she bid him farewell and went inside her house.

She went and sat opposite to to Akira. "Evening darling" she greet with a smile.

"Good evening mom. How was your day?" Akira asked finishing her homework.

"Well I'll tell you about it soon. Where is your brother?" She asked her eyes searching for Alex but he was nowhere.

"He must be done bathing by now. In the meantime I'll arrange the dinner" Akira close her books and pack them in her school back and went to the kitchen and she fallows the latter behind.

"I'll help you with that baby. In fact I feel like doing everything tonight" she said with an excited smile plastered on her face.

"Someone is happy" a small voice came from behind. Alex came to kitchen. He had gone to bath after Akira was done bathing.

While Amelia was setting the table she asked them to sit, she will server them. She did and sat opposite to them.

"What would you like to do this weekend? I mean anything you want" she started. But that made Akira and Alex stare at her.

"Mom"

"Fine. I might have some extra cash to spend on you guys. My treat"

Her children never her allow her to spend money on unnecessary things like going out but maybe if she had extra cash then she can think of treating them once in a while.

"Okay. What do you think Kiara?"

"I've always wanted us to go to the park and have picnic" she said, imagining what might be like the thought alone sounds great.

"Good idea sis. Mom let's settle for a picnic. What do you think?"

"Well mommy might have a better idea then" she smiled and waited for them to say something but they gaze at her without saying anything clearly that they were waiting for her to go on.

"Let's go to amusement park instead. We can have breakfast somewhere then go shopping for our picnic then each one of us can play two games after we camp somewhere for our picnic. What do you say?"

"Yeh mom that's even more brilliant idea" Alex agreed with Amelia.

"Then it's settled. Amusement park here we come" Akira said with excitement.

They kept planning for the weekend and what will be their outfit for the day and Amelia decided to break the news to them because she could no longer contain her happiness.

"My babies you know mommy loves you alot and will do anything humanly possible to give you the best life and childhood right?"

They hummed. "I think that time has arrive to give you that. Mommy got a promotion she is now COO's PA. I'm starting tomorrow and I'll be doing double job until I got a replacement for receptionist"

"Wow! Congratulations mom"they said in unison and excited voice.

After dinner everyone retired to their bedroom and Amelia went to her favourite spot. She said few lines and went to bed. She didn't want to be late for her first day as assistant.

In William's villa, William was on a call. "Mr Walker I had told your wife that I'll call her if there is a vacancy at the company. Why can't she be patient?"

William was pissed. He knew that when his father call he must be up to no good. He rub his temple.

"William that COO position is vacant. Why don't you give it to her. She is damn qualified for it"

"Dad if that position was vacant I would have given it to her a week ago when she call. Dad I'll tell her once I have something for her for now just be patient. I have to go now" William hung up quick before his father could respond.

That man was so persistent and lucky today he didn't threaten him to do what his wife wants or maybe he didn't give him a chance to threaten him. But what will he use this time around because he has no one that can be used against him. That man is pathetic and lovestruck.

William made a phonecall again and in one ring the latter had answered. "Jack have you issued out the receptionist vacancy?"

"I want you to change the approach. Use one of our hotel's name for the vacancy and let the hotel manager refer all the applicant to you then send the full report to me when you done"

He disconnected the call after. He trust Jack and leaving him in charge for a week won't be a problem. He will just send him important work then carry out the interview without him then send the report. He will meet the receptionist once he is back from the business trip.
