Marie’s POV.
“Aunty. Marie.” Kanu and Kiana screamed at the top of their voices the moment I stepped in. “We have missed you a lot.” Kiana said with so much excitement in her voice as I carried them up.
“I have missed you both too.” I said with a broad smile, then kissed both of them. “And how has school been?” I asked them, while I looked at both of them.
“I made new friends today.” Kiana mumbled as she looked at me.
I could feel the full blown excitement as she went on talking about her newly made friends.
Elena stepped out from the kitchen as she looked at me. I could see she was stressed out and she wasn’t in the mood to have any chat. I dropped Kanu and Kiana down as I allowed them to continue with their play.
“Hey, you don’t look good. Are you okay?” I asked as I looked at
