13 - Inspection
Talon had to give credit to Dr. Millerby and his wife. They entered the back area where the examination rooms and labs were located, and kept a calm, patient attitude as he and Æquana followed. He let his wife take the lead, allowing her all the time she needed to stop and study each room before moving ahead to the next one.
The first few rooms were aseptically typical labs. Racks of collection tubes, a centrifuge, blood pressure cuffs, a floor scale—these items were non-threatening by themselves. Æquana glanced over them without showing any trepidation. They passed a small alcove that contained a couple of chairs and a desktop computer. Again, nothing here to cause alarm.
