Not only did Buck have enough time to eavesdrop on their lovemaking, but he"d even come into the house to make a pot of coffee. Æquana rolled her eyes at her husband to let him know of her disapproval, but Talon just chuckled in response before suddenly dropping the smile and assuming a more serious stance.
"You don"t sound too jolly this morning," he commented to his grandfather. Æquana took a bar stool in front of the horseshoe-shaped counter that enclosed the gas top range. Buck poured himself a cup of java before joining her. Talon pulled the plate he"d saved for her from the oven and set it on the bar in front of her. She grabbed the other slice of bacon as he fetched her a fork.
