I kept pacing, glancing at my wrist watch every second. Where the h**k were Rick and Veronica? We settled on 12 noon and it's almost 2 pm!
Two hours wasted, I seethed angrily, pacing and dialling Rick's number again.
"Hello, Nicholas. We're on our way. Veronica had to take care of some things at the office," he replied.
"No problem, where are you guys now?"
We're almost here. A truck had a breakdown causing a slowdown of vehicles"
"Oh, alright. I will be waiting here," I replied, abruptly ending the call.
