He was looking at her like he wanted to eat her up, like she was simply the most tantalizing food on the table, and it disgusted her. She wanted to throw a fork into his eyes and pull it out. Who did he think he was, and what did he take her for? Did he think she was one of those girls who would throw herself at him because he had wealth? To her, he was nothing but a violent criminal, a handsome violent criminal she had to acknowledge, but she was never a vain person, which made that fact irrelevant. He had signaled everyone to leave after she sat down. "I'm sorry about the bruise on your cheek," he said. "It was not part of the order". She ignored his apology. "So what is this all about. Do you usually kidnap women?" "I'm sure your father already told you" he sounded very business-like. Almost like he was at a business meeting. It annoyed her so much that she had to stop herself from shouting at him. She wasn't going to do anything like that though, because she would definitely keep her cool. She gave him a half smile "My father is an alcoholic, it all sounded like one of his numerous drunk spirals. I mean certainly, people don't use their daughters to pay off loans, not in this modern world. And people don't accpet people's daughters as payment for loans", there was an edge in her voice. He smirked at her, making his cheek bones look sharper. "I won't force you to do anything you don't want to. If you don't agree to the deal I'm about to present you, you leave and your dad's debts remain, and he gets to suffer the consequences alone." What was he up to? Why kidnap her if he wasn't going to force her? She was eager to hear his deal," okay, go on. What's the deal? " He leaned back in his chair. "I'm about to take my company public". Sofia's eyebrows raised at that, his business from what she'd heard was not exactly legal. Why would he want to take it public? "As you may know, I don't have the most upright reputation and i need to change that. . That's what I need you for." That was an understatement, his reputation was more than not upright. He was the man that killed all enemies and forced debtors to work hard for life. His list of atrocities was long. "And how exactly does marrying me help you with all that? " She was even more confused than she has been since she got here. "It helps my image, it softens my image. We need to be in love, people need to see me head over heels for you. I need you by my side at meetings. In public eyes, it will make me seem more stable", he said matter-of-factly. Sofia looked at him, trying to see if he was serious, and truly he was. "and what exactly will i get from all this?" He gestured at their surroundings "all this, for the time that we will be married, you get a taste of this life. This house. You follow me to places you have never been before" he said, it like he offered her life. It was funny how arrogant he was. He completely thought that she would be eager to accept that deal, which a female wouldn't. Instead, Ama let out a laugh, she could see him having wide eyes. "Do you really think I'll go for that deal? Let me get this straight, I'll be helping you take your company public. I'm sure that will make you millions and, for all that, I get to play housewife and then be discarded? " She asked. He stroked his beard softly "you also get to save your father. Every other thing is simply an addition." "And what makes you think I care about my father?" she looked at him straight in his blue eyes that were clouded with intrigue. As if coming to a conclusion, he said "I see. What do you suggest then?" "I want a court wedding. A real court wedding between both of us, and for every month we will be fakery married i should be paid 30 thousand dollars. I get the freedom to leave when I want, go where I want, and you don't get to touch me" He had that devilish look on his face "are you sure about that last one? ' "Absolutely." He suddenly leaned forward, putting his face mere inches from hers, trailed his hands softly down the side of her neck. It sent shivers through her body. "Are you sure about that?" he asked smugly. She quickly slapped his hand away from her neck. "You wish," she snapped. "Yes, I do wish" he said, grinning widely as he sized her up. "Violent scoundrel is not really my type" "Why don't we make this whole thing more interesting" he said mischievously, "you want a court wedding, meaning you want to gain like you would gain from a real divorce. We will be married for 2 years. By then i will be done closing the important deals. If within those 2 years, you don't fall in love with me, you get what you want. Our divorce will be like a real one where our assets will be shared. If you do fall in love with me during those 2 years, you get nothing. You walk away with nothing. And you can't walk away from the marriage till the 2 years period." "Seems like you just want to make me rich." "its a deal then. I will call up my lawyer to draft the deal. You can call yours too"
