You’ll deny it I drag me broken hearted body into my dark, empty house still uncontrollably crying. It wasn’t Jeff who broke my heart at all, it was his mother who said all the right things to make me think not being with Jeff, would save his life. Maybe she was right… Jake hadn’t made it home yet, and I don’t think he was coming home. He probably passed out on Rochelle’s couch drunk and sad, after realizing what he did. He knew that I would be so disappointed in him, if he came home with bloody knuckles. He’ll probably feel too guilty to go down to California to visit Adam tomorrow. I’m probably too heartbroken to drive. Adam will be sad that we didn’t visit, and I’ll blame myself again. I’ve unlocked my bedroom door and I’m now standing in pitch darkness, crying.
