As soon as Nurse Penelope informed us about Alpha Jericho approaching, I exchanged a worried look with Gamma Jordan.
For a split second, he looked from me to Nurse Penelope standing at the door. “Thank you, Nurse.”
She nodded warily then left.
Thereafter, Gamma Jordan took my right hand in his, while he used his other hand to tilt my chin up to stare at his eyes. “Jasmine.” He began with a calm and collected tone. “Let me handle my brother. You haven't eaten anything since the few slices of bread and coffee I learned you had this morning. So go into your office and eat while I address him.”
Silence befell us.
