Liah's pov "Can you now tell me what's going on with you?" Sophie asked me " It's my parents again. I don't know what I did to them. I should at least an opinion on whatever is happening in my life." I said dejectedly "It's okay baby girl. If you don't want to talk about it, I understand" Sophie hugged me and said. The gentle strokes of her hand on my back consoling me so much that I almost cried. "No I will tell you. You know that guy that you met in my house the other day?" I asked her and I pulled away from the hug " You mean that old man" she said with a distorted expression " Yeah, but he's not really old you know. He actually came for my hand in marriage....." "What????" She screamed cutting me off " Hey lower ur voice, will you?" I told her when I noticed our classmates staring at us. " Don't tell me that. And don't tell me your parents accepted?" Sophia asked " Yeah of course they didn't" I replied sarcastically. " My parents disappointed me real time this time. They actually made me go out on a date with him and I just had to tell the man I'm not interested in him and will never get married to him. He informed my mom and I'm sure you can guess the rest" I narrated to her. " I'm really sorry babe, I ..." '"Why are you saying sorry, you didn't do anything to me and stop looking at me with pity, you know how much I hate that" I cut her off. I really hate it when people look at me with pity. "Blah blah blah. Whatever" She rolled her eyes and stuck out her tongue at me. I couldn't help bursting into laughter. Just then " Hello beautiful" I turned around to stare into the most beautiful eyes I've ever seen. His good-looking face making me realize how much I fall short in beauty compared to him.
