**Trigger, mentions of abortion**
(Kara)
“Please don’t stop, I’m so close.” Emma begs beneath me as I pound into her with the strap-on. This one has a vibrator on the inside, so with every thrust I give her, I get closer to my own o****m.
Her legs tremble against my shoulders as I work my hips faster. I’m moaning along with her. Desperate for something to grab onto, I reach down and grip her voluminous tit in my hand, squeezing the tender tissue tighter with every pulse of the toy pressed against my c**t.
My inside clinch and contract as I find my finish, and Emma cries out my name, her c*m mixing with my own between our legs.
I collapse into the bed next to her, the purple dildo gleaming from its journey. Emma pants heavily next to me, her breasts jiggling. My eyes linger up to her collarbone where a blue tinted mark rests. As soon as I was healed I put that there, mating us for life. The mark I gave her has healed beautifully. The sky blue bite has shifted into resembling a wolf paw.
I admire the way her auburn hair sticks to her rosy cheeks. She’s the most beautiful creature I’ve ever laid eyes on. Keira purrs and I agree.
Emma leans over, unclipping the belt and freeing the strap-on from its place on me. “Go take a shower or you’ll be late.” She orders and I raise an eyebrow, tossing the toy onto the floor.
“Only if you join me. You used to take baths with me every night.” I pout.
Emma rolls her eyes and climbs off our bed. “That’s because you couldn’t wash yourself. Get in a fight with another bear and then we’ll talk.”
“Don’t tempt me.” I warn, heaving myself from the comfortable mattress. It’s only been four weeks since my near death experience but already I’m perfectly healed. Although I do have four very ugly scars to remind me of it.
The past month with Emma has been nothing less than pure bliss. Every morning I wake up to her, and every evening I come home to see her waiting so eagerly at the door for me. We’re constantly showing each other with affection and love. Anthony swears that it’s just the honeymoon phase and it’ll end soon, but I don’t see that happening. We have nothing to resent about the other.
Just as I’m finishing washing my hair, Emma joins me, washing this morning’s fun off herself. I find myself mesmerized by the suds sliding down her wet skin, soaking up this view for when I’m bored in the office later. She skips washing her hair and gets out, grabbing the only towel.
“Hey, I was planning on using that!” I call after her, shutting the shower off.
“What? Sorry, can’t hear you!” She shouts back and I groan to myself.
Trying not to slip on the granite floor, I tiptoe out of the bathroom to find a towel laid out on the bed for me and Emma sitting in a chair, a smirk on her face. “I just wanted to watch you dry off.” She says huskily.
I snort at her and dry my face. “Whatever, you just wanted to be trouble this morning. What are your plans for the day?”
She stands and heads towards her dresser, plucking a pair of panties and a b*a from the top drawer. “Well since you and Anthony have that meeting today in Anchorage that’s just oh so important, I’m going to go with Darlene to her doctors appointment, we get to see the baby today so I’m pretty excited about that.” She slips her underwear into place and grabs some jeans out of the next drawer. “Then after that I’m going to help her clean the puppy room because she’s just getting too big to do it and she won’t wait until Anthony gets home.”
I wrap the towel around myself and start rummaging through my own drawer for undergarments. “I still can’t believe you talked me into getting that puppy. A boy puppy at that, he’ll pee on everything.”
She pecks my cheek with her lips as she passes me on her way to the closet. “We need a little testosterone to even us out. He’ll make a good guard dog.”
I scoff. “We already have a guard dog, Felix.”
Emma returns from our walk in closet in an unbuttoned pink flannel with a white shirt underneath. “That’s not very nice, plus he’s only here when you’re not.”
I clasp my b*a in place and go to look for an outfit to wear today. “When he’s not here we have Keira, if we took down a bear I think we could handle a burglar.” I call to her. Stopping in front of our floor-to-ceiling mirror, I inspect my scars. Four jagged pink lines make their way from the tip of the hip bone all the way up my side, the smallest one ending just below my breast, and the largest curves around to the bottom of my right shoulder blade. I sigh at my imperfection. I hate that Emma has to see these every day and I wish there’s was some way I could make them disappear.
I find a nice red pantsuit and match it with a white silk button up and white heels. “Does this look alright together? I don’t look like a candy cane, right?” I ask Emma, whose applying makeup at our vanity.
She turns around and bites her lip playfully. “You’re the sexiest candy cane I’ve ever seen.” She laughs at my worried expression. “You look great babe. It’s a strong and powerful color. It also makes you stand out in a room full of..?”
“A competing oil company. We’re going to try to buy them out of a contract they have with a land owner.” I remind her. She tries so hard to keep track of my work, but with all the different styles of business I dip into I can understand why she gets confused.
“Perfect for a meeting with a competing oil company. You’ll have them doing exactly what you want.” she assures me, and goes back to applying eyeshadow.
I go to the bathroom to dry and straighten my hair, thinking of all the ways my life has changed in such a short time. Before Emma, I’d be getting dressed alone, planning a weekend of club hopping and drinking with some clients. Or I’d come home and stay shifted into my wolf all weekend, letting Keira run through the mountains.
“Kara, I’m going to head out okay? There’s coffee on the counter for you!” Emma shouts from downstairs.
I yell back that I love her and will see her tonight. Grabbing a white leather jacket and purse, I make my own way out of the house. Anthony waits in the driveway, back door to an SUV held open for me. He gets in next to me, pulling the door tight and we’re on our way.
The next two hours are filled with dull driving and the occasional text from Emma and Darlene.
We pull into Anchorage and Anthony’s phone starts ringing. He answers it on speaker phone. “Babe let me call you back we’re about to head to the-“ he starts.
“I don’t care what you’re doing I’m going to kill you! I can’t believe you did this to me.” She sobs on the other end.
“I’m confused what did I do Dar-“
“I’ll tell you what you did you asshole! During the ultrasound the doctor saw an extra leg, so of course they start looking around more and more trying to figure out why she has another foot and they find an entire baby behind Kaylee! Another baby Anthony. You not only planted one tiny demon inside me, you stuck two in there!” She exclaims, her voice breaking.
Anthony’s face lights up. “Two babies? We’re having two little girls?”
She goes silent for a second. “No that’s the worst part, we’re having a girl and a boy! The whole nursery needs redone, my v****a is going to need a facelift after I have to push them both out!”
I can hear Emma laughing hysterically in the background.
Anthony looks to me for help on how to handle the situation and I just shrug. “I’m so sorry babe, when you get home tonight I’ll make you French fries and cheeseburgers.”
Darlene thinks about. “Can you put vinegar on them too?”
Anything pinches the bridge of his nose. “Yes I can do that, send me some pictures of the ultrasound. I’m sorry I wasn’t there with you. I’ll be home tonight okay? I love you baby girl.” Darlene begrudgingly says it back and they hang up.
I look at my best friend. “I guess another congratulations is in order.”
He runs a hand through his hair. “Yeah, thank you.”
We reach our destination and go inside, my two bodyguards and the Vice President of my oil company follow us to the main desk. A man behind the desk points us to the elevator’s and let’s us know that they’re waiting for me in conference room nine.
Anthony adjusts his tie and we enter a room full of irritated men in suits a little too small for them. I take a seat in the empty chair at the head of the table, right next to the CEO of Samson Oil, the company I plan to buy out today. “Good morning, I’m Kara Kingston, and you are Brett Samson, the founder and owner of Samson Oil, correct?” His forehead twitches slightly as I speak. He is not happy to be here. Keira observes.
“Yes you’re right. While I appreciate meeting with you, I’m not exactly sure why we’re here today. Are you wanting to rent some of my equipment? Because we’re using all of it at the moment.” He looks out over the table and his minions seem to mutter in agreement.
I sit back and cross my leg over the other, smirking internally at the way every single one of their eyes flash to my legs, probably hoping for a bit of skin. Although it’s degrading at times the way men immediately think of me as a s*x object, it can be an advantage. Nobody expects a wolf in sheep’s clothing.
“Oh God no, my employees wouldn’t go near the scrap metal you use for equipment. No Mr. Samson, I am here to buy your land contract from you.”
Brett scoffs at me and sits back angrily in his chair. “Why the hell would I sell you my contract? I’ve put every dime I have into mining that land.”
I wave for Anthony to bring me the envelope with all of his companies information on it, but it’s more for show of power. I already have it all memorized. “That’s exactly why you’re going to sell it to me. I know that you are nearly a year behind on your payments to the land owner, and it’s because you just can’t seem to strike oil. Instead of paying your rent you gambled and poured more money into trying to strike oil. But your attempts failed and now you face bankruptcy.”
The color drains from my opponents face and I pause for a moment to allow him to process. “If you know I’m going belly up, why are you trying to buy me out? Why not wait for the eviction then sign a new contract with the owner?”
I click my tongue. “Well for one, your contract is going to be a lot cheaper than the one he would have for me. You’re a smaller company, and I’m the leading company of oil in North America, he’d charge me out the a*s. Also, I like what you’ve done with your company so I’d rather not see you fail.” He squints in disbelief so I continue. “I’m so rich I use tampons made of hundred dollar bills, I don’t need to eradicate you because you aren’t competition. I like to think I support small businesses.”
I spend the next half hour going back and forth with Brett. He tries to convince me, and himself, that he doesn’t need to sell his contract and I continue to remind him he’s out of options.
My phone buzzes and I peak subtly at it. It’s from Felix and says “emergency Emma”.
Immediately I sit upright, ready to close this deal and get out of here. “Okay look Mr. Samson, you have two choices; sell or don’t sell. Either way you are going to have to leave that land and start over. You can either choose to sell out to me and save your credit or don’t sell to me and lose everything. Pick your poison, you are not my only appointment today.” I start to get up.
“Wait, okay I’ll sign. I’ll turn over the contract to you.” He sighs heavily and curses under his breath.
I clap my hands once and walk towards the door, feeling eyes watching my hips move. “Perfect, Theo, my VP will be happy to go over the paperwork with you. Theo, the deal is all yours, you’ve earned it.” I nod to my vice president of KingsCrest Oil and he smiles at me.
Once out of the building I call Felix, my heart racing faster as I feel Emma’s fear. The Gamma answers on the second ring. “Hello?”
“What’s wrong with Emma?” I ask him, trying to control the worry in my voice.
“I honestly don’t know Alpha, she came home and went straight to the bedroom. When I knocked to ask if I should stay or not she yelled for me to go home but she was crying. The door is locked and I hear her crying..” Felix knocks on the door again and I hear Emma tell him she doesn’t need him there. “Kara, there’s vines growing under the door, should I get a w**d whacker?” Keira groans at his stupidity.
“No you moron, just give her some space but don’t leave that hallway until I’m there. We’re on our way back now.” I instruct and hang up.
Clicking Emma’s number, I try her cellphone but she sends it straight to voicemail. What did we do? Keira questions and I want to know as well.
I have my driver get us home as quickly as possible but even then it takes an hour and a half.
Jumping out of the SUV before it’s completely stopped, I run inside to see what happened while I was gone.
I find Felix sitting outside my bedroom door, playing some game on his phone. “My mate has locked herself away and you play games?” I ask, surprising him and Felix jumps to his feet.
“I’m sorry Alpha, I just didn’t know what to do and you didn’t give me much direction.” He stammers. Keira snarls and I shush her. Now isn’t the time to put him in his place. Dismissing him to wait outside, I approach the door.
“Emma, I’m coming in.” I say gently. She doesn’t answer but the vines wrapped around the door slither back under. I unlock the door with my thumbprint and walk in, closing it behind me. Emma sits in the middle of the bedroom floor, a thin smokey film throughout the room. There’s a small pink bong on the carpet in front of her, along with a half empty bottle of vodka. Her face is puffy from crying and the makeup she had done earlier is smeared.
I sit down across from her. “Babe, can you tell me what happened?”
She laughs once dryly. “Before I met you, I never thought I would get away from Carter. He enjoyed having me as a punching bag too much and his pride is as big as his ego. Then he left, and I thought I was finally free from him.” She lights the herb that sits in a little bowl on the bong, and inhales it’s smoke as it funnels up the shaft. “But even now he still finds ways to keep me miserable. Even now I don’t get to just be free of him.” She mumbles, letting a large cloud of fog fill the air above us.
Keira springs upright at the mention of Carter, both our nerves on edge. “Emma did he come here? Did he call you? I swear to you I will slit his throat if he’s hurt you again.”
Her lip quivers as I watch her work up the courage to tell me something. “I’m pregnant Kara.”
My throat tightens as I stare at her in disbelief. Her green eyes are swollen and red, and I wish I could form words to help her through this difficult moment. No matter how hard I try to come up with something, nothing leaves me lips as I just stare at her. I feel sick and the longer I stay silent, the more tears fall down her cheeks. “I knew you would react like this. Silence is safer than saying what’s on your mind right?” Her brows furrow and she explodes, knocking the bong and bottle across the room, glass shattering everywhere. “f*****g say it Kara! Say what your thinking for once!” She springs to her feet, emerald light emitting from her fingers and I leap upright too, completely shocked at her outburst.
“Emma, baby calm down. I just need a second-“ I start but she interrupts me.
“Don’t give me that crap, you never show any emotion. You’re just trying to find a way to keep your feelings in check. Just say it, quit being such a f*****g robot.” She glares at me.
For the first time in a long time, I find myself crying. First one tear, then several. “Baby I’m so sorry this is happening. All I’m thinking about is how much pain you’re in right now, and how badly I wish I could fix it.” My voice cracks. “I love you so much and I just want you to be happy.” Closing the distance between us, I wrap her tightly into a hug. She falls apart in my arm, crying in agony. Her screams break my heart, and I cry along with her. I pull us onto the bed and cradle her in my lap until finally she’s run out of tears and hiccups against my chest.
“Whatever you want to do, I support you. If you want to keep it we will. We can be Mommy and Momma. And if you want to get rid of it I’ll stand with you through it all. Whatever you want is what will happen.” I assure her, kissing the top of her head gently.
After a few moments she answers me. “I want it out. I don’t want to keep it. I just want you and me.”
“Then that’s what we’ll do.” I tell my mate.
