CHAPTER 6 - THE DESIRE TO RECONNECT WITH HIM

LILY’S POV

We heard a car horn outside and so I got up from the cushion and went and peeped through the windows. I knew it must be one of Bella’s guests and I was right.

“It is Max, Bella” I announced when I saw his red G-wagon packed at the packing slot.

“Oh, really?” she sighed.

“Are you still with him?” I inquired. “I don’t see him often anymore” I added.

I have almost forgotten that he is one of her boyfriends. He is the least of her boyfriend and only hangs around whenever she needed him for minor purposes.

“Yes. He stops by my office these days. I would not want him crashing into any of my men” she replied.

“Seriously? But he loves you, sweetie” I said.

“f**k love, Lily” she replied. “I know Max doesn’t love me. He is only with me for convenience. See I don’t stress him as any other girl would, and moreover, he is nothing like what I like”

“He is young, Bella, and that is the only crime that I can see he committed. He is committed to only you and no one else” I said.

“And that is why I say you are naïve, girl. What could Max possibly see in me to make him hang around?” she asked.

“I can say it any day any time that that young man loves you from his heart” I restated my assertion.

Yes, I can say it anywhere that Max truly loves Bella. To hell, he tolerates her excesses and watches her gallivant trying to satisfy her insatiable cravings. He is a true gentleman who believes in the genuineness of his love.

I wonder why Bella could not see through this and give him a chance. I know that he is not as rich as the others, but then he is not doing badly either. A yes to Max would be an entrance to a happily ever after that every girl dreams of.

“He does not, Lily. And if he does, then it is too bad that he came in a completely wrong package” she said.

“So what is he here for and why not ask him in?” I asked.

She took out her phone and texted him to come in.

“He will be here in thirty minutes. We are going to find Rich” she revealed.

“Rich” I exclaimed.

Oh no, I did not know that she was still going on with this idea. It’s been stuck with her for like forever, and I thought she had forgotten about it and forged ahead.

Rich has all the resources to look for her, but he did not which could only mean that he does not give a damn about whether she lives or not. And it would be to her benefit that she does the same too because meeting Rich could leave her even more broken than she has ever been which is something that I don't want to happen to her.

BELLA’S POV

“f**k love, Lily” I replied. “I know Max doesn’t love me. He is only with me for convenience. See I don’t stress him as any other girl would, and moreover, he is nothing like what I like”

“He is young, Bella, and that is the only crime that I can see he committed,” she said.

“And that is why I say you are naïve, girl. What could Max possibly see in me to make him hang around?” I asked.

“I can say it any day any time that that young man loves you from his heart” she repeated.

“He does not. Lily. And if he does, then it is too bad that he came in a completely wrong package” I said.

“So what is he here for and why not ask him in?” she asked.

I brought out my phone and texted Max to come in.

“He will be here in thirty minutes. We are going to find Rich” I replied.

“Rich” she exclaimed.

“I just discovered the company. Max is taking me there today” I replied.

“Have you not given up on this? It’s been ages now. For how long exactly? Over thirteen years” she lamented.

“I have to do this, Lily. This is my only link to him” I replied.

“But are you sure he still remembered you? He had over ten years to look for you and he did nothing. Every year at the orphanage, every single Christmas’ eve, you stood by the window waiting for him to show up. And what do you get? Nothing, absolutely nothing but disappointment. Please don’t raise your hopes high, dear, I would not want to see it dashed again” she said.

I understand her perfectly well but this is my only chance to get to Rich. This is my last hope of ever meeting him and recollecting with him.

“I waited patiently all through those years at the orphanage because of Rich. The hope that I would meet him one day kept me going each passing day. And I moved to Everestland just so that I will be able to locate him” I said.

“And what if he does not want the same too?” she asked.

“Now that I am all grown, I have come to realize that Beetville was very far from here. So there was no way he would have come to look for me over there. He must have searched everywhere for me and he must have believed that something terrible happened to me” I replied.

“But then how would you gain access to him, would you be allowed an opportunity to meet with him? Do you know his status? He is a billionaire, a stinking rich billionaire. What would be your reason for wanting to meet with him?” she probed.

I shot her a quizzical look. I was surprised by just how much she knew about Rich. “And how did you come about all this information about him?” I inquired.

“What sort of friend do you think I am, Bella? I have been doing my own research too. I would like nothing more than to see you happy. I know the reason for your craving for older men, dear. All through your life, you have waited for one unending and I understand. But then, I don’t want to see my friend’s hope raised again and then shattered. It will be more devastation to finally appear in front of him only to discover that he has never wanted you” she replied.

“You are right, Lily and I am well prepared for the worst. But this is my only option. I have tried to reach him via the company email, Twitter, LinkedIn, every social media platform that I can think of, but it has been to no avail” I replied.

“Of course, someone like him is not a person that can be easily reached through those platforms. He barely controls most of the handles himself” she replied.

I will have to take the risk of going to him without an appointment. I have waited for this day patiently all through these years and now that I am close to achieving it, nothing is going to stop me.

Anyways, I am positive that this visit is going to yield a positive result and end all my years of longing.

“Hey, pumpkin,” Max said as soon as he stepped in.

I flung off the cushion and went into his embrace. “I missed you so much, Maxi” I cried.

“I miss you even more,” he said.

He lifted me and I wrapped my legs around his waist.

“And now that you are here, I can have you all to myself,” I said and took his lips into mine.

“I am always a call away, my pumpkin, call me whenever you need” he replied.

He lifted my shirt and took my ni**le in his mouth and the sensation that I felt caused me to moan softly. Then he went and placed me on the cushion and pulled off my dress with me gigging and twisting my body.

I turned around to look at Lily, and I realize that she was not in the sitting room anymore.

I turned to Max and grabbed his d**k and squeezes it. He screamed and held on to me tightly

“You can have me here quickly, Maxi, make me scream down the roof with your name on my lips” I begged.
