Chapter 2 Emilia woke the next morning, surprised to have slept so well. In her haste to slip into the oblivion of sleep, she’d forgotten to draw the curtains and now the sun was streaming through her windows, bathing the room in warmth. She didn’t particularly want to dwell on the events of last night, but there was one fact that had to be faced – despite her self-defence courses and regular mixed martial arts classes, when pinned beneath a male almost twice her size she was virtually helpless.
