While I was back home, we often saw clients who were returned service personnel suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. Seeing the debilitating influence of their anguish and suffering always hit my heart hard. It always seemed like such a grave injustice to these incredible people who had given so much for the sake of serving our country, for peace in our world. From the Vietnam Veterans to currently returning servicemen and women, many end up pushing away those who love them with the manifestations of their mental injury. The demon of their memories and their emotional agony often means they are unable to hold together relationships.
