chapter one

Saya's Pov

I has always anticipated this day, my mating day with alpha Damien is bound to happen tomorrow. The sun is celebrating on my behalf cause the weather was very friendly. I was preparing to move to the palace tonight. Selecting my dresses and packing my bags with my best friend Mia, "So which one do you think I should go with?".

"I think the green one is better, is more sexy". I grinned, there was a knock on the door interrupting our discussion.

"I will get the door" Mia said moving over to the door. She walked back to the room.

"Who was that" I asked.

"Is the guards from the Palace, they said the alpha demands your presence in the palace" I moved to the door to see the guards. "You can go I will be coming to the palace tonight"

"Am afraid not, you are needed immediately"

"Ok am coming" I went back to the room, "I wonder what could be so urgent, that the alpha can't wait for till tonight" she said to Mia.

"Just go with them, I will finish packing your bags for you"

"Thanks alot, I will really miss you if I move to the palace" I said as she hugs Mia.

"I will always come and visit you".

With that I left with the guards, when they got to the palace I was ushered to the meeting room, I was surprised when I saw the alpha and all the members of the council made up of the Deltas in the room, and a man kneeling at the centre of the room. Damien turned immediately I entered the room, staring at me. "Saya, do you know this man" Damien questioned pointing at the man kneeling. "No, I don't"

Everywhere went quite for some seconds after she answered, "look clearly at this man here, cause this man here has clearly states that he knows you". I looked at the man one last time, and still said no. "This man's here clearly states that he knows you and you both has been bedding". I gasped when I heard what Damien said. "what!!, I don't know this man, he is lying, I have never bedded anyone, am still pure". I was shaking like a leaf at this moment. "If you claim you don't know this man, how does he know that you a mole on your left thigh".

To say I was shocked is an understatement, this clearly a setup, but who could have done this, I was shocked to say anything, 'how does he that only I and my few other friends that went to swimming that knows'. I broke out of her thought by Damien's voice. "Saya, am sure you know the consequences of your unfaithfulness and lying before the alpha and his council." I went on my knees, begging Damien, knowing that the implication is banishment and I don't have anywhere to go to, I pleaded, but Damien turned deaf ears to it, and commanded the Beta on guards to take me out. I was dragged out of the palace like a slave. I was receiving stares and harsh comments as I was being dragged out of the pack. The guards left me at the border. I cried out my eyes and walked into the woods, walking aimlessly, the last thing I remembered was looking for where to get water.

I woke up in an unfamiliar, surrounding, my thought was running wild, what if I have been kidnapped, I was brought out of my thought when a lady walked in to the room.

"You are awake, am coming let me get you water" she dashed out of the room and came immediately with a cup of water. "Here" I took the water from her, and drank, it's like she knows what I needed. "Thank you" I said giving her back the cup.

"Please where am I and how did I get here?"

"You are in Ascendant pack and you were brought here by my master." I stared at the lady, she looks like she is my age,with a brown hair and her piercing eyes. She is very beautiful.

"Can I see your master now, I need to thank him". Before she can reply, the door opened, and a tall muscular guy looking like he is in his late thirties stepped in. The lady on the bed stood on feet immediately, with that I knew the man must be her master.

"You can go" he said to the girl. He sat on the chair beside the bed, my body tingled. "How do you feel".

"Am okay now, thank you very much for saving me"

"You are welcome, how did you get to that part of the wood?" I didn't know how to answer him cause I don't want anybody feeling pity for me.

"I didn't know I wandered to deep that I lost my way back."

"From which pack"

"Vanguard" his aurora changed immediately. He kept quite for some minutes and left immediately. I was shocked with the way he left, 'did I say anything bad' I shrugged it off. I looked outside, it was already dark and am starving. I remembered I haven't had anything to eat all day, I was overwhelmed with the mating ceremony that I forgot to eat. If somebody should tell me that my smile would turn to sorrow, I would have insulted that person, tears was streaming down my face,the knock on the door had me cleaning my face immediately. "Come in" the girl from earlier came in. "Come and eat" she said waiting for me. I followed her outside, the house was looking so big, we went downstairs, she led me to the dining, I sat down to eat, the man from earlier came in, followed by two men, one with black long hair reaching his shoulder the other with a short hair, the whole atmosphere changed, the three men were leaking of power, they must be stronger, I can say that the two men are Deltas but I can't put my hand on what to say about this particular man. "Hey, how are you feeling." The guy with short hair asked me smiling at me. "Am fine". I smiled back at him and looked at the man with the long hair. "Am Ryan". He said looking at me, nudging the other man opposite him, he looked at me "Raphael".

"Am Saya". I was afraid to look at the other man. Ryan noticed, and whispered to me, his name is "Ethan". I was blushing at the calling of his name, what's wrong with me. The remaining dinner was silent, I went back to my room after helping the girl from earlier to do the dishes, I found out her name is Thelma. I was thinking of what life held for me from now on, where will I go if Ethan, ask me to leave, cause I don't probably belong and I told him I lost my way. I will plead with him to let me work here, will he agree or force me to go back to my pack?.
