"Good evening listeners and welcome to another episode of Talking after midnight I'm your host Freya which if you've ever tuned into the podcast you know that but what you may not know is that here on talking after midnight we discuss love s*x relationships and everything in between. Recently we posed the question on my podcast about online dating how many of you are out there swiping left or right on Mr or Mrs wright? With our everyday world becoming more and more online it's only natural but human beings would turn to tech to find love so I asked my listeners to tell me a tale of tinder. when was the last time that someone's profile pic really perked you up? as always my avid listeners do not disappoint and this story comes from Mia in Minnesota." "Hey Freya, my name is Mia. I’m a long-time listener and absolutely love your show. I have a story that I think you'll find pretty spicy—well, let me clarify, I found it spicy. This happened last week, and I'm still blushing just thinking about it." I paused, unsure if I wanted to dive deep into the steamy chaos of my weekend, but curiosity tugged at me like an eager lover. I continued typing. "So, I had swiped right on this guy named Jake on one of those dating apps. He had this jawline chiseled by the gods and eyes that promised adventure. We meshed instantly—like we were two puzzle pieces designed for each other. You know how that goes, right? I had hardly left him a voice note before we were sharing a ridiculous banter about our favorite pizza toppings and our secret weaknesses. I swear it was like we were colliding galaxies, pulling each other in with an undeniable gravitational force." The keys clicked beneath my fingertips, the rhythm syncing with my heartbeats. The memory drifted like a warm breeze through my mind, and I could almost see Jake’s bright smile, hear his warm laugh. "The strangest part? Even though we chatted in the app for only a few days, our chemistry was electric—like fireworks on the Fourth of July, but far more intimate. He suggested we meet up, and without a second thought, a wild impulse surged through me. I agreed to meet him at The Velvet Lounge, a dimly lit bar with velvet drapes that whispered tales of passion and romance. The moment I stepped inside, I felt the rush of possibilities tingling in the air, but nothing could have prepared me for what awaited." I took a long sip from my glass, feeling the warm rush of wine emboldening my words. Jake had arrived early, a teasing grin stretching across his face, his eyes bright with mischief, and the way he looked at me turned my insides to molten lava. He wore a navy shirt that clung so lovingly to his toned arms, making my heart flutter like a newly released bird. "We talked and laughed until the world outside dimmed to a mere whisper. It was intoxicating. Over drinks, we dared each other to share our most embarrassing high school stories, which, let me tell you, was both mortifying and hilarious. But then, something shifted. The air crackled, tension thick enough to cut with a knife. His eyes dropped to my lips, and before I knew it, I was leaning in... and then… oh my gosh, when we kissed? It was dizzying, like tasting fine chocolate for the first time—rich, indulgent, and utterly euphoric." The memory of Jake's lips against mine sent a shiver down my spine. The night had unfolded like a page from a romance novel, intense and unexpected. "When we left the bar, it felt like the universe had conspired to align our stars. We stumbled into the cool night, laughter spilling from our mouths as he pulled me into a corner, under the soft illumination of streetlight. That's where things got steamy. He took my hand and wrapped his fingers around it with such a possessive yet gentle grip that I nearly melted into a puddle. With a daring spark in his eyes, he leaned in, whispering promises that made my pulse race. We kissed, and oh my god, the world slipped away—the lights of the street blurred into a kaleidoscope of hues, the cool night air sent tingles through me, igniting every sense." I paused, breathing deep, almost overwhelmed by the rush of the memory. Was it just me, or did it feel like I was falling for a stranger? My fingers danced across the screen, letting the words tumble out, raw and uncensored. "Fast forward to us exiting his apartment—or rather, the whirlwind of passion that led us to that very threshold. And you know, Freya, they say there’s no excuse for a romantic’s rendezvous, but if there was, Jake and I made it. In no time, we were enveloped in a wave of heat, exploring one another enthusiastically as if we were lost in the depths of our skin, tracing every curve, every shiver, just soaking in how alive we felt. The moment was exquisitely primal, raw, and so undeniably beguiling. I can’t even pinpoint one dimension but every kiss felt electric, lighting my insides on fire!" I grinned despite myself, my cheeks still flushed by the ecstatic memories, willing to bare my soul to a trio of strangers huddled over their microphones in the dead of night. "It left me breathless, Freya. The encounter was wild, reckless—everything my cautious heart shied away from. I snuck out before dawn, a smile plastered on my face as I navigated those early morning streets filled with fog that wrapped around me like a secret. But here’s the wild part: I don’t even have his number. After all that passion, that heart-racing, wonderfully irrational night, our connection felt so immediate yet fleeting. I just had to leave it behind, not even an inkling of how to reach him again." I felt a slight pang of regret wash over me, but there was an exhilarating thrill in the uncertainty, the wildness of my choice. "I guess I’m left wondering if I’ll ever see him again. Sometimes I feel like I’m fantasizing about this story—a fairytale that might not exist outside those four walls. But Freya, what do you think? Is it crazy to crave something like that? Do you believe in love at first swipe? I’m not quite sure how it ended, but I’ll definitely be tuning in, waiting for every word you share, hoping you’ll understand where I’m coming from." With a soft sigh, I hit send and set my phone down. I’d bared a piece of my soul to the universe, a small confession, a late-night secret shared with a faraway voice, echoing back with compassion and understanding. In that moment, I didn’t just share a story; I connected with a truth—a tapestry woven with intimacy, uncertainty, and all the desirous possibilities that exist just beyond the surface of each fleeting connection. And as I settled back into the cozy embrace of my blankets, ready to drift off into dreams of chocolate kisses and secret rendezvous, I couldn’t shake the feeling that perhaps, just perhaps, Jake and I might have another chapter waiting for us somewhere out there—lost but not forgotten, eager to collide once again. "well it sounds like there might be something there miss Mia I think you should definitely give Jake another shake, as it were. definitely keep us updated and thanks for sharing this. I know the rest of your fellow listeners will definitely enjoy it and might even get a bit of confidence the next time they log on."
