The salty island breeze carried an air of stillness. Sienna’s heart continued to race as she turned back toward the resort. Guests were entering, whispering in hushed, gossip-laden tones. Security had discreetly escorted Kaylee away likely sedated and headed for a very costly therapist. Or perhaps a padded room. Yet, not everyone had departed with the crowd. From the balcony above the garden, hidden behind a row of shadowy palm trees, a tall figure leaned against the railing, arms crossed, observing.
