Chapter 1. The start

309 Words
I had a dream, a dream that I haven’t fulfilled yet. It all started when I was 8 years old when I saw an interesting documentary about a list of stuff that you want to do before kicking the bucket, and there, I decided to make my own one. The expression “kick the bucket” comes from suicide. If you hang yourself and you are still standing on top of a bucket, what happens if you kick that bucket away from you? Obviously, you die. In my infancy, I was sent to an orphanage after my father committed suicide. It was a long trip there as there wasn’t any orphanage close to where I lived in Hamburg - I never liked Hamburg, it was always full of fights and deaths. They had to take me in a car for one whole day until I arrived in the orphanage in Munich. I was very despondent the first weeks there, but each time I got more used to being there. When I grew up, time started to fly. I didn’t have time to do anything in just one day. I easily got a job in a restaurant, and they actually paid me very well. Soon I could pay for a house in Berlin - it wasn’t very big, but it was enough for me. I lived all alone, no family or no friends, but I did have a small puppy. He was called Copy, because I always wanted him to be a cop dog. One day I was about to go to bed when I remembered about the bucket list. The mind of an adult is always different to the mind of a child, but not me - I will follow my infancy dreams no matter what age I am, and soon I will be starting to complete the list.
