It had been a little more complicated to transfer Gabriel’s room than Ava had expected, but after they’d spent the better part of a half hour getting Elena set up at the hotel, everything seemed to be squared away. At least her cousin actually had a state-issued I.D., if not a driver’s license. It was in her own name, but that was a risk they’d have to take. Ava supposed that Elena’s father and grandmother might try calling hotels in their search to locate their runaway.
