"I-I'm sorry for your loss, Arthur. He was a good man. We owe him a lot not just Vanessa's life and our baby's." Vanessa told the omega, husband of the person responsible for the safe return of her baby.
"Y-yeah. I know..." Art replied sadly. His alpha was a hero. That alone was a comforting consolation especially on the days he could barely face the day without him.
"I didn't know how to face you today,” Vanessa added. “We um… We wanted to talk to you for a while now but we know you needed time."
