It's Monday morning. And Mondays were the busiest day of the week. All of our suppliers deliver their products on Monday. Since there were only a few men in our branch, we are bound to help carry the newly arrived supplies to the stock room and also help other stations to carry their product and items for display. Aside from these extra heavy work we have today, everything else is working out just fine.
Also, it seems that Krisan and Mond were on good terms now. Considering the exchange of glance that they do every time they meet each other. Surely for these two, Mondays are the best day of the week. If you get what I mean.Well, it's about time for them to make up. One week of drama is enough already.
On the other hand, I can't help but notice how Mark is giving the two a confused look, then turning to look at me with those curious eyes whenever he has the chance. Sometimes he even points at the two using his lips with a knotted forehead as if silently asking about what's going on between Krisan and Mond today. In w/c I can only answer back by shaking my head or a shrug. Then went back to carrying boxes again.
Mark being my partner stays in our station. He's in-charge of checking our inventory and from time to time, discusses with Vissing about the products and items that he finds slow moving and the new products that we can add. Sometimes he also helps with carrying boxes.
But he doesn't engage in the work as much as we do. He would complain about some of it being too heavy for him and pass the work to me and Ben. Ben is a really big guy so you probably get the picture why. Then he just walk out swaying his butt from left to right like he is walking in a catwalk saying,
"A queen should not do such work"
Yes, he called himself a 'Queen'
When lunch break came, I hurriedly went to get my card to time out. Then I got my food from the locker and went to the 2nd floor of the Home décor department to take my lunch. Today Krisan, Mond and I happen to have the same lunch schedule. So, I have no choice but to sit with them and bear with their sweetness. And they look disgusting by the way . Or maybe it is just not my thing.
"At times I regret that I meddled with your affair. Now I have to endure watching you two being sappy. If you guys ever fight again in the future, I swear to the Elf living in my uncle's yard to never help you make-up again."
I said while devouring my lunch.
"Oho! Sean, you're just jealous!" Krisan giggled.
"Miss, you're pretty and you are my friend. But also, you're not my type."
I said in a matter of fact.
"Hey!" it's Mond's warning tone.
"That's my girl. How can you say such a thing?"
"Would you rather want me to also like her like M-"
I realize what I am about to say.
Darn!
"Like mmm... you do? That would be hard. You can't compete with me."
I added teasing Mond.
Wew! That was close! I think I may have my brain forget that detail to prevent me from accidentally spilling it out.
"Asshole!"
Mond cursed at me. W/c followed by Krisan's giggling.
"Don't mind him. He's like that because he doesn't have a lover yet."
I didn't answer and just continued eating my lunch. We only have an hour. This week, I take lunch first before Mark can have his.
It was after my lunch break that Mark can't contain his curiosity anymore. When I carry Items up to the 2nd floor home décor department right after my lunch, Someone drags me to the counter. As expected, it was Mark.
"You knew something didn't you?"
"About what?"
"Those two! Just last week they're close to being strangers and then now, they're acting like lovey-dovey again. As if their ordeal a few days ago didn't exist."
I sigh.
Seems like Krisan and Mond were busy living in their own bubble and failed to inform him yet. They're hopeless.
"Well, it's possible that they've talked about it and make up."
"Yeah."
But he is looking at me suspiciously with him raising his eyebrow.
"And also it is possible that you knew something. Come on, tell me. What happened?"
"I don't know. And even if I do, the story is not mine to tell."
'Also it's a really stupid ordeal if i may add.'
But I chose to keep the last part to myself.
He had that exaggerated shock look on his face then he hit my shoulder.
"I hate you! Why can't you tell me?" he said while pouting.
"I have nothing to tell."
I don't know, I'm starting to be annoyed.
"And for once, stop acting like this in front of me, na. I knew too well that you being gay is just a facade to hide your unrequited feelings for Krisan."
He looked at me like I'd hit the spot.
"Do you really have to rub it in?"
"Then don't act right in front of me. It's rather annoying."
"I'm not. It's just that, maybe if you're used to doing certain things for a long period of time, it will gradually become a habit."
He answered tugging me while shamelessly shaking his butt left to right.
"And habit Mr. Pudako, is something that is difficult to unlearn."
I just can't believe him. I have never never met such a person who is more than willing to ruin his masculine image and act as a cut-sleeve, until it becomes part of him just for something that is too tribal.
He surely is something different.
