Scene: Maya and Priya are back at the pet shop, trying to focus on work, but Arjun’s sudden exit lingers in their thoughts. As the day progresses, Maya finds it harder to shake off the nagging feeling that something is up. She’s brushing down a golden retriever named Bruno when Priya’s voice pulls her out of her thoughts.

Maya (distracted): "What? Oh, yeah... Bruno’s having a bit of an existential crisis."
Priya (laughing): "Girl, it’s a dog, not your therapist."

Priya (grinning): "Oh, here we go. You’re officially hooked."
Maya: "I’m not hooked! I just… find him suspicious. That’s all."

As they continue bantering, an old lady enters the shop with a basket full of kittens. Maya and Priya immediately rush over, cooing at the tiny furballs.

Old Lady: "Found these little ones near my backyard. Can you take care of them?"
Maya (grinning): "Absolutely! Welcome to the cutest daycare in town."
Priya (to one kitten): "Hey there, little troublemaker. What’s your deal, huh?"

They gently place the kittens in a cozy corner of the shop. Maya checks the time and notices it’s almost closing hour. Arjun’s sudden exit still gnaws at her, and Priya catches her staring at the clock.

Maya (defensive): "No! I’m just... planning my evening."
Priya (raising an eyebrow): "Planning to run into a certain someone, maybe?"

Priya: "Of course. Just casually asking him what deep secrets he’s hiding while looking cute."
Maya: "You’re impossible, Priya."

Just then, Bruno barks loudly, and both girls turn to see Raghav standing awkwardly at the entrance.

Priya (whispering): "Well, if it isn’t the villain from the previous episode."
Maya (trying not to laugh): "Shh. Be nice."

Maya walks over to greet him, but Raghav looks uncomfortable.
Raghav: "Hey, um… Is Arjun around?"
Maya (confused): "Arjun? No… I thought you were with him?"
Raghav (scratching his head): "Yeah, about that... He kind of... disappeared."

Priya (grinning): "Classic hero move. Disappear without explanation."
Maya (concerned): "Wait, what do you mean disappeared?"
Raghav: "He told me he had to take care of something, but now his phone’s off, and he’s not answering texts."

Maya feels a flicker of worry. Despite his laid-back attitude, Arjun didn’t seem like the type to vanish without a word.

Maya: "Did he say where he was going?"
Raghav: "No. Just that it was urgent."

Priya (playfully): "Ooooh, the plot thickens."
Maya (ignoring Priya): "Do you think something’s wrong?"

Raghav (shrugging): "I don’t know. This isn’t like him, though."
Maya: "Maybe I should call him again?"
Priya (grinning): "Maybe you should track his location and show up unannounced. That’s what true love does, right?"

Maya (laughing nervously): "It’s not love, Priya!"
Priya: "Yet."

Maya rolls her eyes but pulls out her phone anyway. She dials Arjun’s number, but it goes straight to voicemail. Frustrated, she taps the table and looks at Raghav.

Maya: "Okay, Raghav. Spill. What’s really going on with him?"
Raghav: "I swear, I have no idea. All I know is, something’s been bothering him for a while now. But he won’t tell me what."

Maya (sighing): "Of course. The classic 'mysterious guy with emotional baggage' trope."
Priya: "And here you are, right in the middle of it."

Maya (grinning): "Lucky me."

Suddenly, Bruno starts barking again, this time more frantically. Maya looks around, noticing the dog’s attention is fixed on the entrance.

Priya (nervously): "Uh-oh. Either a celebrity just walked in, or we’re about to get robbed."

Maya (joking): "Great. Just what I needed to end my day."

The door swings open, and to everyone’s surprise, Arjun walks in, looking flustered and slightly out of breath.

Priya (teasing): "We thought you got kidnapped by aliens."

Maya (suspicious): "Sidetracked how?"

Arjun: "Okay, okay. I was dealing with a family issue. It’s... complicated."

Priya (rolling her eyes): "There it is. The magic word again – complicated."

Arjun (grinning): "What can I say? My life’s a soap opera."

Maya (raising an eyebrow): "And what part do we play in this drama of yours?"

Arjun (playfully): "Supporting characters, obviously."

Maya: "Gee, thanks."

Priya (mock serious): "I expect a bigger role in the next episode."

Maya (softening): "Seriously, though. Are you okay?"

Maya: "Good. Because Bruno was about to send out a search party."

Raghav (dryly): "Yeah, that’d be great."

Maya watches as Arjun and Raghav exchange a glance. There’s an unspoken understanding between them that Maya can’t quite decipher. But before she can ask more questions, Priya claps her hands dramatically.
