We Became Strangers.

I screamed until my voice became hoarse. I didn't want to remain trapped in that tower all alone, never seeing my friends or knowing whether my younger siblings were safe. I was completely alone. Not a single person came to check on me. My mother never allowed me to leave that tower again. No matter how desperately I begged, she refused to unlock the door. I don't even know how I survived. My powers were gone. My wolf was gone. I felt like nothing more than an ordinary human. Day after day, the silence drove me closer to madness. I had no one left to talk to. They all cut ties with me. I became a prisoner in my own home. At twelve, my brother had his first wolf shift, revealing his wolf form to the entire realm. By fourteen, he had torn a lion to pieces with his bare hands and slammed it to the ground before thousands of wolves. Everyone cheered for him, praising his incredible strength and supernatural abilities. He laughed happily as the people of the realms applauded him for his power. "Hey, Griffith! Catch!" He caught the ball effortlessly with both hands, sighed, and laughed. "What are you laughing at, bro?" Raven asked with a snicker. "Get outta here, motherfucker." Griffith shoved him away as they both laughed, and Raven hugged him from behind. They were all down there having fun while I remained locked up here like a prisoner. I wasn't allowed to attend festivals or go anywhere because of my mother's stupid rule. My father didn't even care enough to help me. My mother claimed she had locked me in the tower to keep me safe. You could say power twisted everyone in my family. I am an Omega, and because of that, I'm not allowed to say anything to anyone. Even though I'm the Princess of the Realms, I have no authority because I'm locked away. Griffith had grown into such a handsome Alpha that every girl wanted him in her bed. I heard countless rumors about how he received gifts every day because of his ambition and good looks. His white hair had grown past his shoulders, and his green eyes were just as beautiful as they had been ten years ago. He had become muscular, with defined abs and thick skin. Well, he was an Alpha. He could have as many Omegas as he wanted. He was the talk of the realms, laughing and training on the battlefield with his best friend, Raven, walking in and out of the portal whenever he pleased. Meanwhile, I watched him from the tower window, making sure he never saw me. I wished I could go to the human world and see the cities again, but my mother denied me access to the portal. We all used to visit the human world, to have fun and attend school. But the moment the taboo incident with Griffith happened, my mother cut me off from my friends and everything connected to the human world. I missed those days. I missed my younger siblings too. I heard my mother moved them into different wings of the palace, so I rarely saw them anymore. I stood alone at my window with nothing to do except wake up, eat breakfast, bathe while the maids washed me, and go back to sleep. I had been trapped in this tower for ten years because of one stupid mistake, and my mother loathed me for it. It was lonely. As I write this in my diary, I don't know what to do anymore. I just want to live. I want to escape this palace. My life is nothing but misery. I'm honestly surprised I haven't gone insane and can still remember my own name. Being trapped in this tower for so long has paralyzed my mind. I could see everyone living their lives, but I could never join them. It was hell. Every night, I cried myself to sleep, praying to the Moon Goddess and hoping I'd survive all this sorrow and loneliness. I was sixteen years old, yet I had never experienced my first heat, craved blood, or felt my wolf since my mother cut off my hair. In the palace, our hair is the source of our power. If it's cut, we lose our abilities until it grows back. Only then can we regain our powers. My mother stripped away my powers to make me useless. I just wanted to die. I didn't want to live anymore. Death was calling me, and that was all that mattered. My life felt like an empty barrel with no purpose or reason to keep living. There were times I tried to commit suicide. I was caught and beaten badly by my mother's guards for attempting it. Since then, my mother has ordered the maids to remove every sharp object from my room. I became depressed and could barely smile anymore. I didn't even remember what smiling felt like. I had forgotten how to laugh and play. When was the last time I even did that? Could I still laugh again? I was just an Omega, kept like a toy until the day I got married. I had to obey the palace rules, act with modesty, stay quiet, and look pretty for everyone. Not even my father, the Alpha King, opposed my imprisonment in the tower. He supported it, saying it would teach me how to remain faithful to my future husband. The only respect I received was because I was a princess. That was also why my father despised me so much for being an Omega. He saw me as an embarrassment to his reputation. Omegas are not respected in the Celestial Dragon Realms. We are raised to listen and obey. We have no voice of our own. If an Omega dares to speak up, they're killed on the spot. I was cursed to be born into such a terrible fate, while Alphas are respected and given the freedom to do whatever they wish. Omegas don't have that right. Women are the ones who endure the beatings, the abuse, and every foolish thing the Alphas do, forced to swallow it all. Omegas have no right to control, change, or tell an Alpha what to do. Whatever they wanted to do, we had to endure and live with it. Even if they cheated or took as many Omegas as they pleased, we had no choice but to accept their wayward behavior. They didn't even care about fated mates unless they were destined to suffer because of them.
