It had been two months since that day by the river . The day my wolf shocked me. She had read Luca's mind. I never thought that was possible. Luca still secretly trained me four times a week. My body ached after each session.I could see the hard work paying off though. Luca never brought up what happened two months ago. I don't think I wanted to talk about it either. My life has been getting worse at school and home but I kept smiling. A smile can hide the emotions that you feel. I would call my cousin to vent and tell her what's going on. I didn't want to burden her. I shook my feelings away and stood. Don't give up no matter what. You may inspire someone one day. You may save someone. Those are the daily things I said to myself. Life happens in a beautiful yet complex way. I'm almost 18 I knew I would probably be spending the night at the Luca's alpha ceremony. After the ceremony I'm going in the woods for me to shift for the very first time. The last few years I've celebrated my birthday without my twin sister. She chose friends over me. "This birthday will be better" My wolf Sliver said. "Yea , we will shift but ill be a regular wolf" I said. "Did reading Luca's mind seem normal to you?" She asked. "Well no..only mates have that privilege to do that sometimes" I said. "Exactly ! wait to see happens instead of assuming" She said and smiled. I smiled back. I knew it would be better to be patient. My wolf knows a lot more than she's letting on. The school day flew by quickly. I was headed to the bus loop. When I heard someone yelling my name. I looked back to see Gio walking towards me. Why he suddenly wanting to talk to me I said to myself. "Are you busy later?" He asked. I kept my composure and looked at him. "Yes, I am" I said . He looked taken aback . I guess he feels like I'm rejecting him again . It was training day so no missing that. I definitely wasn't going to tell him why I couldn't. "I'm not saying no but I have things to do" I said . "Okay! Don't forget to tell me when you're free." Gio said. "Hmm , that was odd and suspicious" I said to Sliver. "Be careful Grace.I don't know if he had good intentions"she said back. I walked out the school to see my bus already gone. I started walking to the front and began my 5 mile walk home. I suddenly heard a horn. I recongized Luca's car. "Get in. It's about to rain" Luca said. I quickly got in and looked out the window. "Thank you Luca" I whispered to him. All he could was smiling. Since it was raining I knew I would still have to train.Luca trained fiercely and showed no mercy. Rogues or a threat can show up no matter the weather. "We'll train later Grace" He said. "Later than normal I'm guessing" I said. All he could do was nod. Finally we got to the packhouse and I thanked him again for the ride. I ran home and saw my sister's friend car in my driveway . Great! Now I have to deal with both of them. I walked in the house and my sister turned to me. "Ugh! I don't why I was made to be your sister" She said. Sometimes I wonder why she hated me so much. She was the only blood I had. I Ignored her comments about me. I felt Sliver getting angry at my sister and her friend . I ran to the backyard into the woods. I let Sliver growl loudly. I can't wait to move out. I knew my mom wouldn't do anything about my sister bullying me. I just had to dealt with it. I meditated a bit and opened my eyes to see my self floating. "Sliver! whats going on?" I said. Sliver never responded to me and retreated away. I have to learn control of not only telepathy but floating too. I might to go read some of the old books in the packhouse. "Well what do we have here?!" the guy with red eyes. "Just leave now!" I said. I stared at him in the eyes to play with his mind. He finally left. I need to find answers about my biological family to figure out something.
