As soon as the triggers were pulled, Kira held her hand out and changed the course of direction of every bullet. Standing there, Kira crossed her arms and smirked at them. She could see the men looking around in panic knowing she was making them hallucinate.
Simone teleported into different areas dodging the bullets that were being shot at her. Turning upward in the sky, she saw that a helicopter was over her and Kira. Running forward, Simone teleported until she was in the air.
Grabbing the landing skid, Simone pushed the helicopter down as it arrived in the Hudson River. Presently understanding that she was tumbling from the sky, Simone prepared for her fall. Instead, she landed on both feet as a boisterous blast sounded when her feet contacted the ground knocking down the remaining police officers. Simone and Kira glanced around as the sound of glass from the nearby buildings caught their attention. Kira grinned gladly at Simone.
“You have superhuman strength! You just took down an entire helicopter by yourself!” Kira shouted.
“f**k that! What was that loud noise? I just knocked those men down as soon as I landed on my feet!” Simone replied.
“Gravity Manipulation!” Kira answered. Looking forward, Kira groaned as she looked at the military approaching with enormous weapons. Squeezing her eyes shut, Kira allowed her powers to take over as Simone watched her. Suddenly, Simone laid eyes on multiple Kira’s as they stood around the area.
“What the fuck.” Simone whispered. Opening her eyes, Kira sighed in relief at the sight of 20 versions of her standing in front of herself and Simone. Simone’s mouth dropped open in shock while the military continued to move forward.
“Did you just clone yourself?” Simone asked.
Ignoring Simone, Kira prepared for the military’s attack. Knowing that she would need absolute concentration, Kira fought as hard as she could to ignore anything other than the military. Being distracted would cause her to lose all concentration and the clones would no longer exist.
Simone watched as a grenade was tossed towards them. Quickly, a large force field was placed around her, Kira, and the clones. Looking up, Simone and Kira noticed a large bolt of lightning appeared in the sky.
“I believe that it’s about to storm which will have me distracted.” Kira announced. “We need to take them out and leave!”
“Use your mind control to free the superhumans and I’ll handle them.” Simone demanded.
“I’d have to let the force field down. I’m not used to controlling so much at once and I’m getting a bit weaker due to exhaustion. I’m not sure if you’ll be able to handle them all alone.” Kira replied.
“Do it!” Simone shouted.
Kira let the force field down as all of the bullets came towards them. Simone teleported on top of the enormous machine and snatched the man from behind the weapon. She turned it around and started utilizing it to take shots at the remainder of the soldiers who remained.
With her eyes closed and a force field around herself, Kira unlocked the doors from the institution including the front doors to free all of the superhumans who were locked there. As she opened her eyes, she saw Simone remained on top of the machine. Unexpectedly, lightning lit up the sky again making Simone teleport back towards Kira.
Looking up, the sisters laid eyes on someone in the sky. They watched as the individual grabbed the lightning bolt with their exposed hands prior to sending it down towards the machine shocking a couple of the soldiers who shot their weapons. As the air cleared, Simone and Kira gazed in shock as they stared at Zoie.
"Zoie?" Kira murmured. Zoie gradually turned her head to the side as she gazed at her sisters.
“Oh shit.” Simone mumbled as Zoie’s eyes went completely black.
Without speaking, Zoie strolled towards her 2 sisters and remained close to them. They all turned towards the remaining troopers who gave no indications of easing back down. Kira utilized her supernatural power to fly upward, Simone utilized her superhuman strength to lift up one of the squad cars, and Zoie remained there as her hands were covered by flames.
“Let’s do this.” Simone announced.
Zoie held her hands out as fire shot from her palms, setting a portion of the officers ablaze, Kira sent a numerous amount of objects towards them as Simone stood in the same spot. She glanced around at all the harm that they had caused and gradually dropped the squad car. It had turned crazy. The arrangement was to free the entirety of the superhumans secured in the institution yet they had transformed Liberty Island into the Devil's playground.
“Guys, let’s stop.” Simone yelled. Kira looked down at Simone before coming down. She walked over to her sister in confusion while Zoie continued.
“What’s wrong?” Kira asked.
“Look at what we’ve done! This isn’t making anything better for us!” Simone shouted.
Realizing that Simone was right, Kira turned towards Zoie who stood in the front. They watched as Zoie was shot right in the arm and the wound healed immediately. Suddenly, grey clouds decorated the sky as the wind picked up. Understanding that Zoie was the reason for it, Kira yelled her name.
“We cannot let history repeat itself!” Simone exclaimed. Running forward, Simone grabbed Zoie’s arm, snapping her out of her thoughts as Kira froze all of the soldiers from making another move. She knew that she was weak due to exhaustion and couldn’t hold them for long but she had to stop them from shooting.
“Leave!” Zoie demanded.
“What the hell are you doing?” Simone asked.
“There’s a tornado!” Kira warned, realizing that Zoie was the cause of the sudden weather.
“Your powers are taking over you again, Zoie. You have to stop. Let it go.” Simone demanded.
“Teleport us out of here!” Kira shouted. Running towards Simone and Zoie, Kira grabbed Simone’s hand as Simone grabbed Zoie’s hand. Kira watched as all of the soldiers unfroze.
Kira moaned in torment as she fell against a rack. Peering down, she understood that the rack was loaded up with films. Getting one of the tapes, Kira read gazed at in disarray. Meanwhile, Simone and Zoie stood in the back and argued.
“You had your powers the entire time!” Simone shouted. Zoie looked around as objects around them changed. She noticed that Simone and Kira paid no attention to it. The poster on the wall that read Stallone First Blood changed into a mirror then back to the poster, the fake plant in the corner changed to roses then back to the original synthetic material. As Zoie confusingly looked around, Simone’s loud voice caught her attention.
“Zoie!” Simone exclaimed.
“Hello to you too!” Zoie mumbled. Stepping forward, Simone grabbed Zoie by the neck.
“You are nothing but a large pain in the a*s!” Simone scolded.
Zoie’s eyes changed to the signature black color as Simone began to wheeze for air to breathe. Letting go of Zoie’s neck, Simone dropped to the floor as Kira stepped forward. Grabbing Zoie’s arm, Kira pulled her into a hug as Simone began to cough and breathe.
“I’m so sorry about the argument! I was under so much stress and I took it out on you and I am sorry!” Kira apologized.
“I’m sorry!” Zoie mumbled.
“You do not have to apologize for anything.” Kira whispered.
“I’m sorry for leaving without telling you. I know you guys were worried sick.” Zoie replied.
“Guys?” Simone called out as she looked outside the large windows.
“I have something to tell you!” Kira announced. “It’s about mom.”
“Guys!” Simone shouted. Turning around, Kira and Zoie looked at their oldest sister in confusion. “I don’t think we are in New York anymore.”
Strolling forward, Kira gazed out of the window as she glanced around. Taking a look at the tags of the older style vehicles left outside, Kira saw that every one of them read California.
“We are also in a video store. There are no DVDs here, only tapes.” Kira said.
“We are in a video store located in California.” Simone mumbled in confusion.
“In 1982.” Zoie finished.
“What?” Simone and Kira asked. They walked over to Zoie who stood behind the counter of the video store. Staring at the calendar, Simone and Kira read the date on it. There were four women holding coke cans on the calendar as every date had been marked. Zoie looked at the mail that laid on the counter as the address read Chester, California.
“August 12, 1982.” Kira read out loud.
“You didn’t teleport us out of the way, Simone.” Zoie started. “You sent us back in time — 39 years back.”
