Colby chased Serafina out the door and down the stairs and I carried Lani piggyback, attempting to keep up with my brother. When we got to the bottom landing, Ms. Boudreaux was there with dinner for tonight and breakfast for tomorrow packed in a bag for us, while balancing a small tray with a round of fire whiskey shots.
“Congratulations, Babies. I’m just so happy for y’all.”
We introduced the twins to Boudie and they each hugged her tightly, Colby taking the tray from her hands. The older wolf’s happiness was practically suffocating as she toasted us, and she threw back a shot of whiskey right along with us.
“Love you, Boudie.” I whispered into her ear as I gave her one more hug and she pinched my cheeks- ushering us out the front door.
