Every move she made, my eyes followed her. Jarek and I were more synced than we have ever been, watching our mate, studying her, learning her, adoring her.
She had a need to feel independent. I couldn’t cage her. I had a feeling they’ve tried to cage her and tell her everything she couldn’t do her entire life. I would need to be mindful of that. I need to open doors for her, not close them. I need to give her opportunity to be her true self, not ask her to hide it.
We could be walking into a death trap, returning the girls back to their kingdom marked and mated. But I would burn the world down for Serafina. There is absolutely nothing in this world that would prevent me from keeping her in my life.
