Abandoning the Drifter Camp
The waves of feral rogues were not letting up. As soon as we had the permission to move our pack, we made the move. And we made it quickly. Athena and Orion rounded everyone up, Orion's eyes darting as he counted each in the family groups. I had barely begun to know my people, so I had to depend on him.
Is that everyone?
I don't know. They are all moving so fast. But we are running out of time. We need to move. Aarick's voice was shaky, uncertain. He was terrified to mess up.
Let's move. We can do a final count once we're safe. The guards are here. I can have them watch for stragglers behind us.
