CHAPTER TWOKreon sat in the waiting room to see his therapist. He laid back in his seat, watching the other people that were there to see their doctors as well. There was a handful there; he couldn’t help wondering what kind of lives they led. Some of them were talking among one another on their cellphones, flipping through tattered magazines, or watching the small box television set that was mounted at the high corner of the wall. Static occasionally ran across the tv’s screen, but it didn’t seem to bother those that were observing it. Kreon stretched and yawned, taking in all the faces of those occupying the room. He wondered if he was the craziest one present. He also pondered if they were thinking the same thing that he was.
