Iarion didn’t look much better off, but he gave the women a weary greeting. “Thank you for your assistance.” The woman with the sword nodded. She looked at him with open interest, c*****g her head. “You are Iarion.” “Yes,” he said, tensing with wariness. “Did your god send you to kill us too?” Barlo straightened at Iarion’s question, gripping his ax. The woman laughed, her green eyes sparkling. “Do you think we just rescued you so we could kill you?” She shook her head. “No, our goddess wouldn’t take kindly to that.
