Chapter one

Kelly POV.

today is my sixteenth birthday. am not happy about it. it will be just like the others. my mother, father, brother, and grandparents come to my room and bring me a cake and sing happy birthday to me. sixteen is the age I should find my mate .how the hell would I find my mate locked up in a room. the only place other than in my room I can go is an indoor garden with a glass roof. I feel like I a prisoner.

I'm not beaten or abused am quite spoiled by both of my parents and even my brother . my only friend is my brother since he's the only person my age I could talk to. am kept in a part of the packhouse where no one is allowed except my family. I have never met anyone else in my pack.

I hoped for this birthday my mother will allow me out so I could be surrounded by the rest of the pack just like my brother on his sixteenth birthday.

my door open and I looked to see who was at the door. it was my brother. 

"hey little sis are you enjoying your birthday so far," he asked.

"No! how could I?" I asked .

my brother didn't say a thing he knew I wasn't allowed to leave. everyone in the pack and in the world needed to think am dead because there is someone out to kill me since I was three.

"I just wish I could be like you I want to be free. I want to have friends like you, I want to be able to be around other people other than my family," I said sadly.

"I know, I would love to have you with me going to movies the mall, and other places I would like to be able to threaten boys when they try to date you," he said.

a smile broke on my face.

"and today I don't want any sour face. I don't want you to be depressed or overreact," he said smiling.

" When have I overreact with anything?" I asked smiling.

"Are you really asking that question?" he said poking me.

"I found my mate," he said so excitedly.

I know I should be happy for my brother but I envy him. It makes me remember I would never find my mate. my brother didn't see my drop in my mood and he continues.

"she's the beta daughter," he said smiling and so proud of his mate.

"she's beautiful, strong, kind and she will be the best luna in the future," my brother spoke about her as if she was the greatest thing in the world and he should your mate should be perfect to you. I envied him but I was still happy for him at least one of us get's to be happy he doesn't have to be stuck in this room like me.

a knock on the door stopped my brother from talking.

"James, can I have a word with your sister alone," my mom asked?

my brother nods his head and left my room.

my mother smiled at me.

"I have good news," she said.

"The only good news I would like to hear is that I could leave this room," I said sadly but her smile only got larger 

"tonight your going to transform to your wolf for the first time and we have no choice but to bring you out ..." she said she couldn't even finish what she was going to say because I cut in.

"really mom," I said jumping from on my bed I gave her a massive hug while jumping up and down. I haven't seen outside in so long.

"When will we be going?" I asked ready to leave this prison right away.

"let me finished what I was saying," she interrupted my screams of excitement.  

"The pack would be distracted with a party but we would still have to be careful with you and your first run. your wolf could be a little wild when it just relies out. You need to listen to me," she said and I shock my head .

"I'll be back for you at 10 pm, but your transformation wouldn't be starting until 10:30 pm because this was the time you were born, and as you know your wolf comes out at exactly your sixteenth birthday  ." my mother informs me and I was so happy I wanted to scream I waited sixteen years to get out this room and now am free . not completely free but for a night.

I couldn't run with the pack like everyone else but at least I could run with my father, brother, mother, and grandparents. at least I wasn't alone in this world. I could stop the smile that was plastered on my face. I was finally let out. 

I waited the whole day it was terrible. I couldn't get it off of my mind It was the greatest thing that could happen to me. every second my eyes were on the clock it was like it wasn't moving and I hated it 

I waited until the time I really couldn't wait anymore.

when my door open I was so happy to see me mother . she hugged me .

"are you ready ?" my mother asked.

"yes mom," I answered.

she moved my carpet and under it was a door. . my mother used a key and open it .

"it lead outside it's for emergency ," my mother told me.

 she walked in and waited for me to enter. it was dark. in the tunnel insects crawl out the walls, it looked so gross and the pathway was filled with spider web. we slowly walked to another door. it leads to another door . my mother took out a different key and opened that door. we crawled out the tunnel into a small clearing. where my family waited for me . the grass was so green a pretty. I don't care what you say but I have never seen grass in my life . I wanted to just walk around and touch everything  but the minute the moon hit my skin .my skin caught on fire. I wasn't really burning but I felt so. the bone in my hand moved first. it was so painful. I stayed on the ground as my bones moved and went in a different position. my scream echoed through the forest  I breathed heavily as my spine popped out of place and went somewhere different. the pain didn't stop and I felt like I would never stop feeling pain. my skull was the most painful after all it was turning into a completely different form from my human my bones continue to pop and move this continue to happen until suddenly it stopped .

when the pain was gone I stood up . I felt different when I looked down two large back paw greeted me. when I looked at my family my mother eye's showed fear and my father looked shocked.

my father turn to his black wolf he was smaller than me and that shocked me . my father started to walk up to me but I let out a growl I don't know why.   

then I heard her.

"move away from me," my wolf said growling . my father snarl at her but she didn't back down. my father attacked first but I easily avoid him and bit down on his leg and throw him in a tree .

my father was alpha he is the strongest wolf in the pack and I did that to him. I couldn't stop her she was so angry with the world she didn't want to go back to our prison. 

as my father hit the tree my mother jumped out of her afraid state she turned into her beautiful white wolf in the air. I was lost for words . I have never seen any of my family transform but her wolf awws me. my mother lunged at me but I couldn't doge I was a too slow one growl and my wolf was in submission.

"you need to control your wolf I know she's bigger and stronger than your father and she think she should be ordering him but it doesn't go like that he is you father and alpha and you need to listen to him," i heard my mother's voice in my head.

"okay mom I'll try my best," I mind link her back  .

my father came back to me. I think my mother has already spoken to him to.

my wolf wasn't happy about she kept her cool and calmed down.

" We are going to run to the east border normally when I wolf first shift we would run around the territory but since your, in danger, we can't. I want you to stay in between of everyone so even if someone spot us running they wouldn't notice you," my father spoke in my head.

my family transform to their wolf and surrounded me . my father took the lead. my wolf didn't like it but I refuse to give her full control . my father began to run along with the rest of my family I felt so good . the breeze through my fear. my wolf wanted to a lot faster but I knew better than allowing myself to be seen. the run short but I still loved it. I smelled so many different things the twig and dirt under my paw felt so good. I  don't want to go back into that room but I know I have to if I want to stay alive .
