Sophia Cold sheets. The room was too quiet. Sunlight spilled through the curtains like it didn’t care about the mess inside. I rolled over, groggy and bare, the sheets twisted around my thighs. My hand reached for him before my mind even registered what I was doing. Empty. Just cold sheets and a dent where he should’ve been. I sat up slowly, chest tight. The air felt wrong. Still.
