I held on to Genni’s hand with Mav on my hip as I watched E and the team enter the house. I could smell something odd and it made my stomach churn.
“Can you guys smell that?” I asked my family. They all shook their heads ‘no’ at me. I had noticed E and Grayson exchanging looks the closer we came here. Something was off.
“Ange, what the hell was that talk with Emeric? What’s a shift? Why was he able to change his eyes and voice? What is he?” The questions from Genni came hard and fast. This must have been how E felt when I berated him earlier this evening.
