We made our way following Grayson towards his suite. Before even opening the doors, I could smell his brothers, Griffin and Grant. Grayson opened and held the door ajar enough just to stick his head in. “Let’s go guys.” He called and his two brothers soon appeared in the hall.
We all walked in silence as Grayson led us back to the kitchen. Following behind him closely were his brothers. They kept looking back at Angel and me, but we were solely focused on one another. I could feel her trembling slightly, as brave as she tried to appear. This would be the first time Angel will be introduced to our hierarchy and law enforcers for magical creatures. I’d be more concerned if she wasn’t worried about their presence and what it means for her human family.
