**Zayla's POV**
A few weeks passed after my confrontation with my parents, and everything seemed to return to normal when I returned to school. I avoided problems with Mariah, Holli, Zander, and Alex, which wasn’t easy.
Since we couldn’t escape Liam, Jenifer thought it would be best for us to stay close to him. He began waiting for me before school and after one of my classes, insisting on walking with me to each class. I didn’t mind it, nor did Ari.
Ari’s commentary helped me control my facial expressions better. She was sassy and enjoyed being around Liam, from his enticing scent and sexy voice to the sparks I felt whenever he accidentally touched me. I wondered if he felt it too.
