THE FALL I turned a corner and froze midway as I caught sight of him, my heart skipped a beat, fear settled inside me. He was here. But why? Obviously, it wasn’t for me. Eric was a commander; he had a professional career that involved more than just me. I saw him among other commanders and other officers.
