“Let’s go skydiving,” Lucas said suddenly.
Rose stared at Lucas, surprised by the sudden excitement in his eyes. One moment he had been so mad and the next he blurted out something completely unexpected.
Rose blinked at him. “Did you even hear what I just said?”
Lucas let out a long breath and walked closer to her. “I heard you, Rose. I did. But I feel like I’m putting too much pressure on you lately. So… let’s just relax today. Let’s get comfortable. Let’s go skydiving.”
