CHAPTER TWENTY SHE HAD BEEN listening to her sister whine about Derek Cranston since Kelly arrived for their weekly morning coffee. However, Emma’s mind was on Jacob and the way he insinuated he would be there for her after the party. “He’s called out every day this week?” she asked her sister, trying to at least participate in the conversation.
