Tucker's Story

Tucker Halbeck was sitting in the orphanage library reading a book, honestly he'd already read all the books in here but he was bored and he didn't do anything other than read, eat and exercise. He was orphaned 3 years ago at the age of 11, his mom and dad died during a rogue attack, they had hid him in a panic room in their house and lured the rogues away from the house. He's very quiet and he doesn't have any friends due to him being extremely shy. When the Luna came barreling into the room with her true wolf, it scared him, he thought he had inadvertently done something to anger her, now the alpha is telling him the moon goddess sent him a gift, " huh? A gift from the moon goddess? I don't understand Alpha " Alpha Levi just patted me on the back and asked Luna Leticia if she was sure I was the one, she nodded and her eyes turned purple and began to glow " whoa " he whispered " Luna....your eyes " she turned to me .

" Tucker, my name is Ivory, I am the Luna's wolf and a direct descendant of the goddess Selene " my mouth dropped open, one of the goddesses daughters is speaking to me. " Tucker I'm sorry to have to tell you that you were born without a wolf, you're not to age yet so you wouldn't have known, but my brother Ebony was stolen away and grew up here as a true wolf ", my eyes gaped open and I couldn't believe what she was saying to me. " Tucker my brother needs a human half and our mother has chosen you, she says you are deserving of a wolf like Ebony, she sees your heart and she knows it to be true " my heart was pounding and I looked up at Alpha Levi, he nodded and told me that everything Ivory was saying was true, the Luna's wolf and the wolf the goddess was gifting to me are siblings, powerful gifted wolves. I was speechless, the Luna's eyes went back to their green color and the next words she said floored me. " Tucker....I know we've literally just met and of course I'd like to get to know you better, afterall our wolves are brother and sister, we are now connected.....Tucker would you consider letting the Alpha and I adopt you.....please ? ".

I couldnt believe what I was hearing, the Luna wanted to adopt me, I would go from being the kid that took the longest to stay in this orphanage to the adopted son of the Alpha and Luna, I nodded my head and hot tears ran down my cheek, " thank you, thank you so much.....Alpha, Luna I won't ever disappoint you or give you any reason to be ashamed of me " they both hugged me and sent me to pack my stuff.

Leticia's POV

" Thank you for letting me do this Ted, Ivory really doesn't want to leave him here " I kissed my husband, I had mind linked him and asked if we could take Tucker, I was shocked and amazed when he suggested we adopt him. Goddess I love this man, Ivory said we would complete Tucker and Ebony's joining with the next full moon so in roughly a month they will become one. Till then I can't wait to get to know him better, he seems like such a sweet kid too, he's 14, smart and has a good heart or the goddess wouldn't have chosen him to be Ebony's human. Ted made an announcement to the pack about us adopting Tucker, there were some congrats and some people questioned my ability to produce heirs, which was quickly put to bed by my mate. We took Tucker home and got him settled in a room 2 doors down from us, Shadow/Ebony walked into Tucker's room and got comfortable, I can see they're already inseparable, things were finally coming together. Ted and I went to our room and I sat on the bed releasing a loud long sigh, Ted walked over to me and sat next to me, rubbing my shoulders " you ok babe? " I nodded " I'm both happy and sad, on one hand I'm happy for Ebony and Tucker ", " I know what it feels like to be alone in life, no family and no wolf, it leaves you feeling empty inside, but on the other hand I'm losing my boy, my sweet puppy " I had started to cry " I feel selfish wishing I could keep him how he is, but I do know and understand that this is who he really is and that Tucker won't have to go through what I did or worse " my husband picked me up, put me on his lap and encircled me in his arms " it's ok baby, I get both sides of what is happening, you have your memories and pictures and if your ever just need to see him Tucker is right down the hall " I nodded and he kissed my forehead. We showered and dressed for bed, I snuggled up next to my big beautiful husband and fell right to sleep, tomorrow is another day of meet and greets and then the real work begins.

We got up early, had breakfast and checked on Tucker before we left to meet more pack members, he was comfortable and reading a book to Ebony, who had stayed with him all night by the way. I thought it was really sweet the way they were bonding, he promised to venture outside today and walk around the pack. Ted and I left with Wendell and Paula to get a move on the needs of the pack and introducing us to the members, I had fallen in love with a piece of property on the outskirts of the pack, I checked to see if we owned the land and found that we did. I had very exciting plans for this piece of land and made an offer on it immediately, I didn't want to just take it, plus the money would help with the upcoming renovations in the pack. I stepped out to call Travis to see what was happening with the bar and diner, I had made him manager of both and hired extra staff to help them run smoothly since I couldn't be there everyday. Travis said he was looking forward to seeing me when I came in this weekend, I made sure to go in on weekends to prep frozen delights for the fry cook to pop in the oven and to bake a few fresh batches as long as I was there. They were still a hit with the customers and my old pack members continued to come by for some. Travis told me a woman kept coming by asking for me and she never left any messages, I told him if she passed by before this weekend to tell her l'd be in. He said she gave him the heebie jeebies and maybe I should tell my husband or bring a friend with me. I told him I'd think about it and hung up just as Ted walked up behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist, I turned in his arms and tip toed to kiss him.

He nuzzled into my neck and sniffed me, " I missed you Mrs Levi " I chuckled " Ted I literally stepped a meter away to call Travis " he snorted " too far " I shook my head and giggled ok well next time I'll sit in your pocket " I looked around " has anyone seen Tucker yet? " Wendell stepped " I'll ask around for you Luna " his eyes clouded over as he linked the pack asking for Tucker, " Luna he was last seen heading for the pack gardens with 2 books and Ebony " I asked them to give me directions to the gardens so I can go check on my 2 boys and I headed off towards them with Paula in tow. As we rounded the corner to the garden we saw 2 boys passing Tucker's books between them and laughing while Tucker was doing his best to keep Ebony, who was snapping and snarling at bay. Paula ran over and shouted at the boys " Luca.....Lucas what the hell are you doing?! " they looked around at her with guilty expressions on their faces " uh hello beta female, we were ....we were just keeping Tucker company " she huffed " that sure didn't look like that was what you were doing " I came over to Tucker and patted him on the shoulder, I tried to used a hand signal on Ebony but he was either too angry to listen or they didn't register anymore since he now remembers who he really is. I turned to the 2 young men " good evening young men " they nervously scratched the back of their necks and shuffled their feet " good evening Luna " I nodded " I see I'm going to have to implement a no bullying policy in this pack soon ", " might I ask who your parents are? Please and thank you " they got panicked looks on their faces " Luna we are very very sorry, please don't call our parents, we won't ever bully Tucker again, please Luna " I nodded " ok I'll let it go, but any time I get to know that you are bullying him or anyone else I'll not only contact your parents, but I will also pass your punishment onto my husband, there is no room for bullying in this pack. We are a family, do you understand? " they both nodded " yes Luna, thank you for letting us go this time ma'am " they scurried off and I turned to ask Tucker if he wanted to stay out a little longer with Ted or go home and help me start dinner. He opted to wait with Ted so I went inside, parted ways with Paula and went to the pack house kitchen, the ladies who did the cooking were frantically running around, they stopped and bowed " good evening Luna " I waved my hands " please call me Leticia or Letti ladies, you look a bit frazzled, is there something I can help you with? " the eldest lady in there said " Luna Leticia, we are short 2 girls and the meat delivery is very Very late, we are in danger of dinner being late or very small, the warriors will eat us if they're not adequately fed " I laughed at the remark about the warriors eating them, I've seen those guys eat, she's not wrong. " Ok ladies let's see what we have here before we panic any further " I rifled through the fridges, freezers and cupboards before I grabbed an apron and mind linked Ted " baby, there's been a small snafu with the meat delivery and I am helping out in the kitchen can you put those excellent tracking and hunting skills to use and get your mate a deer please, 1or 2 big enough to feed the pack " he responded immediately " of course baby give me an hour or so " I told the ladies we would be fine and I started prepping veggies and fruit for salads and sauces, I coached the ladies through my recipe for calypso rice and I began making a couple of large batches of delights for desert. Ted arrived in about an hour and a half with 2 more guys helping him carry 6 bags of venison, already butchered and ready for marinating, we prepped them for grilling and baking, depending on who felt like eating what. I kissed Ted and told him to go put a shirt on before I lost my mind. The ladies in the kitchen giggled and blushed as he walked away winking at all of us. I shook my head and started to load the ovens with Delights. Paula poked her head into the kitchen " dear Goddess what is that heavenly smell coming from in here? " the ladies who I've come to know as Agnes, Betty and Dorothy all said in unison " everything! " we all laughed and I told Paula she'd have to wait until dinner to figure it out. I finished baking all of the Delights and the ladies helped me put them on cooling racks and I told the ladies I'd be back after I had showered and dressed.

Ted and I walked back down to the dining hall and we got a few people to help us with bringing dinner out to the buffet tables, the ladies had worked hard under pressure and I refused to make them serve as well, Ted and I were only too happy to help. I asked everyone to please wait for Agnes, Betty and Dorothy to take their places before we ate, " they worked very hard to help prepare this dinner and I think we can show our appreciation by waiting for them " they bustled out of the kitchen blushing a little and sat down to eat and we all started eating. " What is happening? ", " did we get a new cook? ", " this rice is fantastic and I don't even like rice! ", " what got into you three this evening? " the remarks and compliments kept coming and the ladies were getting red in the cheeks again. After dinner the ladies told everyone I had made dessert for the whole pack and asked that they try the Delights even if they had to pack them and take them home. The first person to say something was Paula " this is it, this is the smell that dragged me downstairs, uuuuum these are awesome Luna " I chuckled " I'm happy you like them Paula, thank you " Ted smirked " mine better be on a plate by themselves somewhere Letti! " I shrugged, " I think you better get over there and get you some before they disappear Alpha " I giggled as he shot out of his chair and ran over to the dessert table, I had a plate sent up to our room and put in the oven for him before dinner even started, he's such a Delights addict. He came back over and sat next to me offering 1 to Tucker who sat on the other side of me. " Oh wow! these are really good Luna, thank you Alpha Levi " I made a mental note to ask him to call us by our names, I didn't expect him to call us mom and dad but he couldn't keep calling us Alpha and Luna. I wanted him to feel safe and comfortable with us and hopefully it would develop into a mutual love and respect, he's going to be my big little brother. We finished up and I went into the kitchen to help the ladies clean up, they tried to protest but I wasn't having it, Ted and Tucker joined me and so did Wendell and Paula, " in all my years working in this kitchen, never had I thought I'd be doing the dishes alongside the beta couple or my Alpha and Luna ". I giggled " Agnes I'm a regular housewife I do my own dishes too " I asked her if it would be ok for me to come help her with breakfast in the morning, she said she would appreciate it and I was welcomed anytime. I hugged her and after we put the dishes away we all made our way upstairs to our quarters, I asked Tucker if he was ok, he said he'd watch a some TV and play with Ebony a little before he went to bed as he has school in the morning. I hugged him and Ted patted his shoulder before we also went to our quarters.

As soon as the door closed Ted growled and lifted me up against the door " Mine! " I gasped " Ted? Baby what's the matter? " He buried his nose in my neck and when he pulled away his eyes were black " Hayden? " he grunted " mate " I hold his head and look into his eyes " Hayden what's wrong? " he whimpered " I want mate, I've waited so long " I sighed and I asked him to let me talk to Ted for a minute or two, when he gave control back to Ted I asked him to let Hayden have control and I'd give control over to Ivory, they also needed to bond and Hayden has been waiting almost 6 years never even knowing if he'd get the chance because I didn't have a wolf " we need to let them bond baby " , he agreed and we gave complete control over to them, letting them have this much needed time together to strengthen the bond and their relationship.
