The next few weeks were lost with the holiday hustle and bustle. Britney and I decided to spend Christmas Eve together; nothing extravagant, just dinner at a nice restaurant in the area. Our plans were altered by an unexpected phone call from Chrys, saying she had been toying with the idea of coming to New York with Mason for the week, and I had impulsively invited her over. I wasn’t sure how that would go over with Britney when I shared the news with her, but to my surprise, she was overjoyed with the idea.
